After arriving late afternoon in Edinburgh it was a recommendation that sent us looking for this restaurant and it was well worth it. The chicken in mango was fab as was my chicken in ginger, green chilli. The flavours were fresh and unusual. It was great to try out other dishes from around the... read more

If you get out to Leith to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia and you fancy good food after take the very short walk to Britannia Spice. Great tasty food and an excellent choice of different Asian cuisines.

Ten of us ate here recently. The service was unsmiling and the food was disappointingly bland. What was of particular concern however was that one of our party found a length (~12 inches) of nylon cord in his nan bread. No explanation was offered by the staff. This restaurant urgently needs to examine its food preparation practices!

Came for a family meal for a 21st and because there was a bigger party happening and they demanded the door to be open we suffered. The manager came over and then said to us that the party was very important to us so we were then left feeling like we shouldn't have been there and did not do the... More

I was really looking forward to my curry but sadly it was an extremely mediocre meal we received, both in taste and portion size. We weren't given the usual complimentary poppadoms other Indian restaurants offer, for a start. The consistency of my Bhuna was no where near thick enough and could have been any old curry, taste wise, and my... More

I have passed this long established restaurant many times promising myself that I would visit and at last managed to get there last night. It was a lovely experience from the decor and furnishings which oozed quality to the food and service which were excellent, not too pricey and a little bit different from normal Asian fare. The menu whilst... More

Staff just wouldn't be as helpful as you like them to be. Gives you the impression that you are a bother to them.
