my sister made the reservation for us and mentioned we were on our honeymoon, complementary prosecco, best seat in the house and lots of friendly congratulations from staff. Food was quick and very tasty. Pleasantly surprised when the bill came, excellent value for money. Would have happily paid much more for the great dinning experience

This beautiful restaurant is a top floor restaurant. We were seated on the rooftop with a gorgeous view of the city. The menu involved 3 different menus, which was a bit overwhelming. We finally settled on what we knew we loved, and were very happy with our choices. Who would think we would be having delicious Thai on a rooftop... More

Gorgeous place with amazing views. The food is absolutely wonderful and great vale for money. Could go here just for the views and the fact the food is amazing is a definite bonus. Lunch menu is available until 6pm and has a great selection. The duck salad is to die for and the pad thai is awesome!

There's no doubting the potential of this place with a terrific view and layout. The entrance however is dated (like going into a casino in the 1970's) and the intention a bit confusing. It tries too hard to be "high end" but ends up being a bit contrived. Our lunch was good but heavy on the chilli. The appetisers were... More

Food was no better than anywhere else I've been yet very expensive. Service was no better yet they slap on a huge service charge just for being a larger group! Won't be rushing back!

On my latest visit, Chaophraya continues to surprise and delight. As a novice to Thai food, I'm amazed by the intensity of the flavours and the variety on offer. I tried the satay fondue starter, a large array of fish, crustaceans, chicken and pork starters, ready for dipping in hot satay sauce. One of the best things I've ever eaten.... More

Found the whole dining experience just fabulous. We had the set menu with King Prawns, Lamb Curry and a wonderful fish dish. Had a table on the terrace and enjoyed the wonderful views of Edinburgh. Would definitely make the effort to go back.

Ate here for dininer with friends in July having booked in advance. My starter of prawn satay was juicy but lacked seasoning so slightly disappointing. My main course of duck tamarind was absolutely delicious although I would have preferred the fatty duck skin to have been removed. I would love to return here to sample some other dishes but was...
