Cheerful and pleasant

This restaurant is very close to the National Museum and the Greyfriar's Bobby statue and a couple of blocks from the Royal Mile. It is actually part of an international franchise albeit not a large one. I believe it has a sort of Portugal - South Africa - London genesis and the main course is... read more

I've just recently visited this nandos with 6 members of my family. Everything about the experience was sublime. I eat in nandos at least once a week all over the UK when I travel for work, and this is without a doubt the best Nandos ever. The restaurant is clean, well tended and warm. The food was cooked expeditiously but... More

Nando's has it all. from their delicious food, to the magnificent view and the really good service. You have to try their chicken. although they aren't cheap. however you will enjoy eating there and you will revisit several times. They offer unlimited drink refills and the atmosphere is really relaxing. Good luck ;)

Nandos is without a doubt a treat. But as a student I wish they could offer some sort of discount. From all the Nandos in Edinburgh this one has to be the best. One thing though, would be nice if the tables weren't as sticky.

We love Nando's, we love our neighborhood Nando's. When we lived in Edinburgh, this was one of the best places to go for some variety that wasn't typical pub grub or Indian food. Can't recommend going later enough!

We had a lovely meal and bottle of rose last night. When we went in we were greeted by a nice lass Zoe I think, then order took by sparksy. Also served by Ola. Very pleasant manner followed by lovely chicken, all the trimmings, wine, olives, chocolate cake, coffee, more wine. The whole experience delightful and we will be back... More

Wjhile experimentation is fun while traveling, sometimes I just want good fresh food with lots of options. We found Nando's fit that niche very well. We ate there with our kids and grandkids while visiting Edinburgh and also ate there as a couple. Everyone had the meal they wanted and really liked it. The chicken can be prepared a variety... The chicken here is amazing, I am a regular customer as I go after uni all the time because I enjoy their food so much yummy yum yum I recommend the 'peri tamer' sauce if you don't like spicy food.

This was the first time to eat in the restaurant . The logo does not reflect the quality of the food and service . I had the best vegetarian sandwich in the Uk, absolutely great. My friend had chicken, it was also brilliant. The setting is cosy and friendly, the price is reasonable . The staff would make me give it... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
