After driving for nearly three hours early in the morning this was a great choice to stop for breakfast. Coffee was piping hot and rolls were made up with freshly cooked fillings. Loads of little nick knacks to look at while you wait for your freshly made order or you could have a read of the papers instead.

A very comfy and accommodating place, lovely food amd smiley staff. Busy when we arrived, food still arrived in good time along with the drinks. A very quirky wee place with lots of cool vintage trinkets on the shelves. I would recommend highly a visit, for such a little place the food choice is wide. Lovely wee place

Arrived on a Wednesday at 12:15 to find the place crowded and the soup already finished. Got the last seats. Had large sandwiches, large roll with sausage. Very filling. Nice pancake with maple syrup. Three girls were coping with everyone plus carry-outs. Basic food, and don't expect an itemised bill.

We visited The Haven for breakfast whilst staying at the Premier Inn which is located nearby. Our breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous and the staff were lovely. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Really good food, we had the full breakfast and enjoyed it. But, we went on a Sunday afternoon, so had to wait a while for a table. Due to the 'quirky' layout, we were sandwiched between a chair back and a larger group, didn't make for a relaxing time! Would definitely go back, but would avoid the weekend and go... More

Amazingly delectable food, served by talented, knowledgable and friend staff. This beautifully quaint café, is a must see for Edinburgh. Exquisitely decorated, there is a clear sense of passion when establishing this outstanding eatery. The Haven is a trend setter, in Scotland's capital... I would recommend the banana pancakes with syrup covered bacon - yum Ask for DJ Kwek x

I absolutely love this place. Having lived opposite for over a year but never having been my boyfriend ventured here to bring me a hangover cure. Since then I can't stay away. Takeaway or sit in and enjoy the quaint vintage theme, either way this is the little dinning treasure of Newhaven. The people are always friendly and and happy... More

Great full cooked breakfast faultless really just what we wanted. Veggie breakfast great too with generous portion which sorted my partners and I hangovers right out. However the cafe itself was very cold and they need to bleed their radiators as we were sat beside one which was on but emitting no heat. There was a draft coming in through... More

Stopped in for belated breakfast and it was fantastic. Vintage themed cafe with a varied menu, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were great and the pancakes were delicious. Quite a small cafe so you might have to wait for a seat on occasion.

Have been twice now. The cafe is a lovely quirky country style place, the people friendly and bright. However, on both visits the wait for food was pretty ridiculous. First time it was forty minutes before breakfast rolls and coffee appeared, second time twenty minutes. They were busy the first time, and not busy the second. It was decently cold... More
