My friend and I went here on Sunday morning on recommendation from the person we were renting a flat off for the weekend. From the moment we arrived the service was warm and friendly, with a nice element of calm in the kitchen despite it being a hive of activity. We both opted for the cooked breakfast, however as neither... More

Have had breakfast 3 or 4 times over last few months at this small cafe. It's very basic and inexpensive. Visited again this week and felt it was looking tired and not so clean. Food was just ok, not great to. E honest and a bit greasy. Don't think we will return as better places nearby.

My friend and I went for brunch here and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by very friendly staff with a quick service - despite it being very busy! There was lots to chose from the menu - rolls, french toast, porridges, pancakes, full english breakfast and even fruit granola!? I loved the atmosphere the vintage decor brought (and... More

After driving for nearly three hours early in the morning this was a great choice to stop for breakfast. Coffee was piping hot and rolls were made up with freshly cooked fillings. Loads of little nick knacks to look at while you wait for your freshly made order or you could have a read of the papers instead.

A very comfy and accommodating place, lovely food amd smiley staff. Busy when we arrived, food still arrived in good time along with the drinks. A very quirky wee place with lots of cool vintage trinkets on the shelves. I would recommend highly a visit, for such a little place the food choice is wide. Lovely wee place

Arrived on a Wednesday at 12:15 to find the place crowded and the soup already finished. Got the last seats. Had large sandwiches, large roll with sausage. Very filling. Nice pancake with maple syrup. Three girls were coping with everyone plus carry-outs. Basic food, and don't expect an itemised bill.

We visited The Haven for breakfast whilst staying at the Premier Inn which is located nearby. Our breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous and the staff were lovely. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Really good food, we had the full breakfast and enjoyed it. But, we went on a Sunday afternoon, so had to wait a while for a table. Due to the 'quirky' layout, we were sandwiched between a chair back and a larger group, didn't make for a relaxing time! Would definitely go back, but would avoid the weekend and go... More

Amazingly delectable food, served by talented, knowledgable and friend staff. This beautifully quaint café, is a must see for Edinburgh. Exquisitely decorated, there is a clear sense of passion when establishing this outstanding eatery. The Haven is a trend setter, in Scotland's capital... I would recommend the banana pancakes with syrup covered bacon - yum Ask for DJ Kwek x
