We have not enjoyed an Italian meal this much since a trip to Sicily 2 years ago! We were wandering down Broughton Street on Friday afternoon and stopped here for coffee. After reading the menu and seeing the magnificent arancini on display we made a reservation for dinner that same day. We were not disappointed. Busy restaurant but the service... More

Visited with a colleague for an early evening meal . The two course menu proved excellent value and the service was particularly friendly and efficient.

We went to Asti for our daughters birthday. We had to wait for an hour for our starters. If we hadn't complained it would have been even longer. Drinks took ages to arrive too because "the bar was busy".The excuse was that the order was not entered on their computer correctly. When the food did arrive, it was mediocre. Starters... More

We come here all the time. The food, wine and desserts are always excellent. Fiona and her staff do an amazing job, the service is always excellent and always with a smile. I would suggest booking on the weekends. This really is a little slice of Italy in Edinburgh :-)

Visited here twice at bank holiday for breakfast and tea. You must try their bagels never seen them so big. Meta the lasagne was to die for as well as the garlic bread - you will not go home hungry. The staff were lovely and friendly

We went there for brunch and had various dishes (English breakfast, eggs benedict, etc). One of us had ordered a selection of Italian meats and cheeses (which is a menu item) which is a dish that requires no cooking, just slicing the meats/cheeses and plating them up. It took ages to be served while everyone else's dishes had arrived. My... More

We were very fortunate to stumble into this tiny Italian in Broughton Street. Very friendly, accommodating and sensible staff. (We wanted brunch so the realised we may as well have a window table reserved for lunch.) Eggs Benedict with perfect poached eggs, fresh Hollandaise and lovely thick ham, served on a thick slice of delicate brioche. My wife had the... More

For an Italian restaurant to set themselves above the chains, they need to be truly individual. So it is with Asti. This Italian restaurant does not serve pizzas, but do offer a fine range of pastas, risotto and other dishes. In particular, because I am a risotto fan, I was extremely impressed by the range, and the quality. We visited... More

Excellent little Italian. My wife and I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. Decent wine list and if you are happy with the House options, then the price is very reasonable. We usually go for the Specials, normally fish dishes, and the have always been excellent.

Nice little Italian restaurant on a great little street, Broughton Street. Close to the playhouse theatre, and you can usually find a parking space nearby in Albany St. They do a nice set lunch menu , with 2 courses £9.95, 3 for £12.95. Staff are Italian and there was a buzz about the place with a few people just in... More
