Very good value

We had the lunch time fixed menu, which was very good value, good food and friendly service. The only adverse comment was that although it was lunch time we had to ask for the fixed menu, only the full menu was on the table.

Called in late on a Saturday night and they were able to find us a table within 5 mins. Really nice food and service good, quite slow though. Will be back.

We went there one evening with some friends. Ordered a shared plate as a starter and i chose a chicken curry as a main course. We also had wine with the meal. The food was really tasty and nice and the nans were excellent. On top of the food, the service was friendly. I really recommend this place

Upon reading countless excellent reviews we went to eat here on a short trip in Edinburgh. ''Twas one of the worst Indian meals I've ever had. Waited 40 mins for food to turn up. Both dishes garlic chilli and extra hot curry were based on the exact same sauce don't know how the chef worked that one out? One dish... More

We met a couple of friends for dinner at Kama Sutra and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The waitress was extremely helpful and the food was fresh, served promptly and delicious. Most dishes had a very authentic Indian taste!

Don't often get out for a curry but dined here with a friend after being at the film house across the road. We hadn't booked and the restaurant was busy but there was no problem finding us a space. The menu is comprehensive without being overwhelming. The food was lovely- really flavoursome. Service was excellent.

Absolutely terrible! After reading all the reviews had high expectations for this place. Was looking for a decent Indian meal came here. The food was abysmal. Ordered a garlic chilli and a extra hot curry and the sauce was exactly the same! One dish was served in a plate! Was so disappointed only ate it because we were so hungry.... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
