Every single dish we tried was great. We particularly enjoyed their naan and tandoori roti, which doesn't happen that often. The only slight drawback is that all vegetarian dishes on the menu were rather mild, it would be great to have some more choice.

The staff here are great, so welcoming and brilliant with the children too. Great family feel to the place. We'd come here even if the food was under par - but guess what... the food is even better than the service! There's lots of good Indian restaurants in Edinburgh, but few can match the whole package offered by Kama Sutra.... More

Went along tonight for a midweek meal and was delighted with the food and service. I had the Rogan Josh and my friend went for the Jaipuri - we were both really impressed and were also delighted with the generous portions of naan bread (always the clincher for me!) I was also really impressed with the personal service in that... More

I went with my wife on my birth day to kamasutra. We were recommended by our friend who goes regularly. We were greeted by the Manager and we had a good chat with the Manager. The server was very cute nice and he knew what he was doing. Ordered Dal makhni Nihari lamb and Rice and nan bread. Beautifully cooked... More

Great peshawar naan. Dansak and rogan Josh both disappointed. Very tame and lacking flavour. Service good and decor good but food not up to rating.

Did not expect such high Indian cuisine so far away from India. It was quite a relevation. The non veg.and the veg dishes were as good as if not better than a home in India. to add to all this the service was immaculate and the host was so attentive and friendly that it was exceptional. To add to all this we... Yesterday I visited this restaurant with a tour group of 54 people. It was a buffet menu with delicious food, Chef received and managed the guests well. Mutter Paneer, Dal Makhni and Kadi Pakora dishes were mesmerising. Great service overall.

We were looking for Indian restaurant. It was our random picks. As we entered it just felt welcoming. The interior is beautiful and customised. The food was very tasty. The presentation was really good and posh. As I love spicy food was expecting more chillies but must be depending on local customer demands. overall,we had a lovely dinner night.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
