Never tasted a better chocolate

The chocolate is small place, makes you feel close to other people. It’s filled with a wonderful warm fragrance of chocolate and the staff is one of the nicest people you can find. Above all, the hot chocolate is sublime. You can get a big serving of hot chocolate in a blue painted ceramic cup and... read more

Excellent variety on the hot chocolate menu - lots of flavours and types, which are all delicious. Also coffee, teapot tea, chocolates, cakes/desserts, french macarons, scoop ice cream etc. Small but cosy seating, great if you can get the window seat or the cosy corner seating through the back.

The Chocolate Tree has the best and fairtrade hot chocolate you have ever tried, even for the lactose intolerant (soya available). You can try the classic, but they also have the greatest variety of cocoa beans. Also a great place for tea lovers. They have a small shop with great edible gifts.

Some of the best hot chocolate around. A little on the expensive side - but well worth it! you can buy hot chocolate to take home - very yummy too.

A small place with a handful of chairs (the back room is cosy , but was occupied unfortunately). It has a wide array of pure, organic chocolates. Their melt in the mouth macaroons are to die for! The display of ice creams was mouth watering. Also available is a huge list of chocolates that are waiting to be gift wrapped... More

Before going any further, I should point out that this primarily an artisan chocolate shop, with only a handful of seats. However, if you are lucky enough to spot a free chair, especially in the delightful little room at the back, grab it and indulge yourself with a delicious hot chocolate or a gelato. we always find the staff cheerful,... The chocolate tree is simply outstanding and will remain in my memories forever. This is partly because our daughter arranged a suprise meeting in their tiny little backroom with some friends but largely due to the outstanding service and to die for chocolate. The little backroom is absolutely devine, really tiny and very romantic. We had all sorts of delicacies... More

If you are a chocoholic, this place is for you. If you're not, go anyway but you might find some of the selections a bit intense for your taste! We went here for dessert after a meal at Papilio's up the street. I had a sea salted caramel tart that was literally to die for, and a "winter spice" hot... More
