Not a great food experience. I have been going on and off for years now due to its close proximity to my house. To be honest they seem to use the same sauce with minimal variation on all the dishes. The yellow bean sauce is a laughable effort, so sweet you are sick of it after your 1st mouthful. It's... More

Was a little apprehensive with the mixed reviews on tripadvisor and was pleasantly surprised. the food was good if a little expensive. They have a good selection of vegetarian dishes and use spices and flavours well. Would go back.

Came here (alone) after scouting tripadvisor for an authentic-sounding sichuan or other Chinese restaurant. As usual, found it ranked very low - do borne put off by this! I ordered off of the 'traditional' Chinese menu which may be daunting for those used to westernised Chinese cuisine, but I wholly recommend it if you like your food spicy and are... More

Full of Chinese people which ain't a bad sign for a Chinese restaurant. Had the banquet again. Like the way they serve the mains a couple at a time if you're in a group. Not posh by any means but great food served by really friendly people. My favourite Chinese restaurant by a street mile.

We decided to visit this restaurant as it is local and the cuisine is a favourite. After a 10 minute wait for a table we were seated and the green tea came fairly swiftly thereafter. This is where the quality of service ended. Yes it was busy, but it was an age before we were asked what we wanted, and... More

We were a bit short on time so we asked if they did a take a way service which they did. The staff were very friendly. The place is very dated. Quite alot of people came in while we were waiting for our meal. I thought this was a good sign. I'm sad to say the food was quite bland.... More

I dined here as part of a group on a (relatively quiet) pre-Christmas dinner. Tucked away in a backstreet, no website, so I have to say I had some reservations. However, these were unfounded. The food was very, very good at £22 a head for a banquet including beef, lamb, chicken, prawn and fish dishes. The prawn toast is to... More

I was introduced to this place by a Chinese/Malaysian friend and have been coming back regularly for the hot pot ever since. Their hot pot is perfect for the cold and dreary Edinburgh weather as you cook all the food at the table and it's a buffet so it's a perfect combination of filling and warming. The special feature of... More

The staff are very helpful and willing to recommend dishes that their Chinese patrons choose, once they know you don't want standard 'British' chinese food. We were recommended stir fried king prawns (shell on), stir fried pork (very thin slices of belly pork) and special rice (white with spring onions). We also had a dish of chinese leaf with garlic...
