This place we went with our fingers crossed but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Service was good but low key. Food was better than expected. Will definitely go again.

Had dinner tonight at this restaurant and would say it is one of the best Indian restaurants I have eaten in. Food and service were excellent. Was very crowded but noise level was not overwhelming and never felt rushed. Good service. More costly than other Indian restaurants I have been to but worth it.

A lovely "side street" restaurant. Food was great with plenty of flavour and well presented. Lamb Madras a delight, well spiced but not blowing your head off. Lamb was perfectly cooked and just fell apart. First time experience of the Pineapple & Coconut rice and great combination to the spicier dishes. Great location with it being situated between the Royal... More

Had a really lovely meal this evening. Very generous portions, probably the best lamb curry we have had in years. Nice service, good choice of food and beers, in a good location. Would definitely recommend this for a meal.

We visited this restaurant for dinner with another couple for Valentine's Day. We all had a lovely meal and thoroughly enjoyed our night. The restaurant owner and staff were all lovely and attentive. As with other reviews, we found the food to be of a high standard, especially for the price, which was not overly high. I would definitely visit... More

I've been to this restaurant four of five times, and it's always my first choice for a curry in Edinburgh. Every single meal has been delicious, well presented, and great value. For fans of curries with something a bit more interesting about them - creative and careful use of spices, just the right amount of heat without it overwhelming everything... More

Ok it's actually Nepalese/Indian but they are very similar and both just as good as each other. We visited here a couple night after walking past and checking the trip advisor rating which was really high. We weren't dissapointed! Everything was perfect, wine, entrees and main all delicious, we've never had Indian like it. Definitely visit if in Edinburgh and... More

Me and my wife were here for dinner on a Monday evening. We went here after reading the good reviews on tripadvisor so our inspections where high and we where not disappointed. We arrived just before 7 pm and just half an hour later the restaurant was full. The food was excellent and the atmosphere felt genuine.

This is seriously the best Indian restaurant I've ever tried. The food is really delicious, fresh, and quite spicy. Most of the dishes comes in two varieties: hot and mild. Meaning depending on your taste, you can get a good burn from this place. Service is professional without being over the top, location is excellent, and prices are really quite... More
