Perfect Italian food

The food in this place is better than a lot of the meals i've had in Italy. The 3 guys running the place know exactly what they are doing and they do it very very well. Service was spot-on and the food was very authentic and flavourful. We went on a Monday night where it was BYOB (£3 corkage) and... read more

Definitely make a reservation, because this place is tiny and it fills up! Friendly staff, delicious food, and quite cheap, so I don't know why it has the $$$ rating. Anyway, I had the lasagne and it was spectacular. The restaurant is quite a ways down Leith Walk though, so wear comfortable shoes if you're going on foot!

I loved this place from the moment I got there; it really is the most charming little restaurant that just gets it all right. From the ambience through great service, to their passion for tremendous but simple food. It's all great. And exceptional value. Even the clientele where all nice, something that can't be said in some great restaurants that... More

A simple and understated little restaurant from the outside. Quaint, endearing and simple interior. Attentive and unobtrusive service, just how I like. The wow factor is served with the pizza. The base home-made, thin and crispy. The toppings were fresh, in abundance and with great choices. I had the Estiva, Parma ham, buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and rocket. Delicious! I... More

Third visit, food still excellent. Unfortunately can't say the same for the service, it seems this tiny kitchen is taking far too many delivery orders and neglecting customers sitting there under their noses. A bad start when, having booked days ahead, we were sat in front of the toilets. We were moved when we asked. It was 20 minutes before... More

We would not have booked this restaurant on the basis of its appearance, but we were enthused by the Trip Advisor reviews. It is a single shop front with a tiny seating area of around 15 covers, with small tables. They do a carry-out service, mainly with their pizzas. The staff are the sort of people that you want as... I absolutely loved this restraunt! It was just tucked away and someheere you wouldn't come across! The waiters were so friendly and the food was 10/10. Reasonable priced too! I would definitely pay this place a return visit!

On an overnight visit to Edinburgh, we happened to be staying nearby. As luck would have it, Oregano took a late booking from us that took them past their usual closing time. It turned out to be a real treat. We had the antipasti platter, a pizza and two pasta dishes between four. It was all excellent and clearly made with... More

Tiny, simple setting, verging on scruffy but the best pizza I may have ever eaten! Not a massive menu but more than enough choice. Delicious home made breads, fabulous pizza, good beer, friendly staff, very reasonably priced. Highly recommend and hope this place has a long and happy future, a real gem.
