Best Pizza in Edinburgh

Went here as it was the perfect intimate setting to propose to my partner, having finally managed to get a table! The place is small but the decor is beautiful, menu and specials spot on and staff friendly and attentive! My partner had a very generously portioned lasagne and I had a monster of a... read more

The place is really tiny (abt 20 seats) and has a nice atmosphere. The pasta could have been cooked a few more minutes to be "al dente" but the spicy sauce was great! The pizza was alright, too. All in all: we expected more because of the outstanding reviews but you certainly get tasty food.

I am Italian, I've lived in Edinburgh for a very long time, and pizza is one of the few foods that I miss. Origano has come to the rescue. Their pizzas are as they should be: simple, well cooked, not overflowing with toppings, light and tasty. I particularly appreciate the size of the selection: not too many choices, but with... More

We were recommended this by friends and I'm tempted to give it one start to stop it becoming too popular and making it hard to get a table. We had the sharing platter to start which was very good and not short on food. Mains were excellent and set a new standard in pizza for my 18 year old son... More

Very yummy pizza very authentic, exceptional quality. The chef I spoke to was so friendly considering I wanted 10 pizza to be ready in 1 hour!

We booked at Origano because of the high trip advisor rating. We were surprised at how small the restaurant was, but this only made the experience more intimate. We arrived as it opened so the place was empty, which gave us a chance to talk to one of the owners, Simon. Lovely guy and obviously really passionate about what he... More

Been here a couple of times, just getting round to reviewing after our last visit. It is consistently the best pizza i have had in each aspect, Dough is thin, crispy and seasoned. Sauce is herby and rich and the toppings are generously portioned without swamping each other. Great, unpretentious service. Tables are a bit small but that adds to... More

I visited with 4 friends on a Saturday evening, the restaurant is small but cosy. The food was good, pizza was really good and the mixed platter starter was nice but the pasta was just ok. They done nice coffee and the beers were good as well. The reason my review is 3 out of 5 is due to the... More
