Cafe Cassis exceeded my expectations serving an exceptionally tasty lunch for a very modest price. Everything was freshly prepared and well presented by friendly staff. It's a bit off the beaten track but well worth seeking out - you won't regret it.

The food was fantastic! Service was a little inattentive, but staff were friendly. Would go back to for the food, not necessarily the service.

Eat here with a Friend every time I visit Edinburgh and after several years never been disappointed. Especially good if you have any allergies as they cater for those. Delicious food and such an interesting menu.

A nice break from haggis. Nice atmosphere, friendly customers, family owned, Denis a Frenchman the chef. Everything we had was of good taste, fish was good although you might avoid the ribeye steak. We went twice and were only in Edinburg three nights so that says something!

Very nice 3 course lunch outdoors. Attentive service. The only little downside was that the benches and tables could have been cleaned and set as it was a glorious day and maybe the staff could have expected some people to eat outside. However that didn't detract much from the lovely food. Very good value.

I was staying in the hotel above this restaurant and decided to pop down for dinner. The meal was great and very reasonably priced for the two courses I had. The staff were very polite & attentive. Well worth a visit.

Pre Theatre Dinner with girls from the office. DON'T have French Onion soup - not good. Main course was lovely but although it looked good not very much on the plate. Can understand they perhaps don't want to give you a bigger portion of steak, fish or chicken but felt a bigger portion of vegetables would have been good. Crackers... More

This is a delightful cafe with a great lunch menu. We both had the kebab which was filling and delicious. We would come here again.

A wee gem of a place. Unpretentious good homely food cooked with love devotion and a willingness to please. A great conglomeration of French Scottish food and appreciation of exactly what people want from a friendly wee Bistro.😋😋😋😋😋
