It was my birthday treat tonight. My wife asked me where I wanted to go for the special occasion and after listening a lot of good reports/ comments about the Cafe Cassis and being French myself, I thought it would be a good opportunity to experiment this place. And thanks god, I haven't been disappointed and opposite to it, we... More

We took our daughter and granddaughter here for a pre theatre evening meal. The kids meal looked very nice, fish and chips, and we three adults had the rib eye. We could have had chicken or a fish dish. For 2 courses plus a glass of wine, we paid £13.95, which I thought was good value. The bread and butter... More

Good food, reasonable price, quiet spot in a quiet part of the city. £147 for four of us, with three courses.

A touch of French influence that made our meals delicious and our evening delightful. If you want well prepared food with a variety ingredients, this restaurant is worth a visit. An added touch was when the chef served our meal and came back a bit later to make sure all was fine.

My wife and I chose Cafe Cassis because of the reviews on Trip Advisor and proximity to our B&B. We weren't disappointed. I wish we had written this review closer to our visit. My wife had the risotto, which was delicious. I had the monkfish and prawn kabobs, which were perfectly prepared. Everything else about the experience was delightful -... More

Had a lovely meal in Cafe Cassis, the food was great and the menu interesting. The service was slick and friendly. This was really one of the best meals I have ever had .I thoroughly enjoyed the pheasant I had and the scallops and black pudding starter my partner had was a highlight. The prices were fair and the atmosphere was... More

We've regularly visited Cafe Cassis in the three years since it opened. If anything, it has got even better, with a personal touch by Denis and Francesco on French cuisine, with a touch of Scottish. Alison and Audrey are experts in friendly and efficient front of house service - always with a smile.

I have dined at Cafe Cassis twice now ... that I have not written a report before now is remiss on my part. I first came here with a relative (a taxi driver) whose customers said, "you must go there", so we came ... and savoured on a quiet, weekday evening .. I can't remember the menu but it was... More

This restaurant is in the basement level of a building and not on a major road but it is definitely worth seeking it out. We ate lunch here from the set menu. Not huge portions, so was able to enjoy the 3 delicious courses on offer. Having lived in France for seven years this is probably as close as you... More
