Great place for Brunch

Went with my family for brunch. The food was of a really high quality. I had the French toast with bacon which was really tasty. My family all had the full breakfast and the quality was great. A bit on the pricey side and the service could be a bit better though.

Went here for breakfast. Restaurant is very nice, light, airy and relaxing. Service was good but food was not great, dry beans, a tiny piece of fried bread hidden under a mushroom. Pancakes and French toast were just OK but not in line with the price. I'd probably give it a second chance and hope I was unlucky.

Went in with my friend for lunch as I had passed you on a bus many a time and you looked very inviting. Lovely, clean, pleasant atmosphere. Plenty staff about. Food was lovely but the service was poor. Didn't have to wait too long for the food but I prefer it if the table wasn't being cleared while I was... More

My partner and I decided to grab some breakfast here before popping for a bit of shopping. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was gorgeous. The decor was cute and modern. Their bread was homemade so was even better! Definitely recommend and visit again.

Went here on Saturday morning of 25th July. Looking for somewhere close & healthy to where we were staying. Found this on the web, so payed a visit. Sat outside at rear of building in the sunshine. Staff friendly & helpful. If you want a gluten free brekkie, this is the place. Enjoyed pancakes with fruit, my wife having Eggs... More

Had a wonderful breakfast here. I had the eggs Benedict washed down with a green tea. My husband had the pancakes with banana and coconut washed down with Chai tea. The overall cost was a little pricey BUT, when the service is second to none and the breakfast keeps you filled-up until teatime, you really don't mind paying for that!

The Loudons Bakery/cafe closes at 5pm but there is also a nice big restaurant section of Loudons right next door and this is open until somewhat later in the evening. I was on my way to the Fountainbridge cinema, and after getting off the bus I had about 20 or so minutes before the trailers started. I was really hungry,... More

Perfect for that Weekend brunch. Vibrant atmosphere, freshly cooked food served by welcoming staff, if busy worth waiting for table. Not much else nearby serving good plate of breakfast food.

Best Eggs Benny anywhere in Scotland! The restaurant was clean and we were seated within a few minutes during brunch time on a Saturday.

Eggs benedict with smoked salmon was delicious - highly recommended. Cakes didn't quite live up to the same standard. Great atmosphere to chill out in and wile away a few hours on a Saturday morning.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
