Description: We are an independent family run and family friendly cafe and bakery. Freshly made is our hallmark....everything is made daily including soups, salads, quiches, pizza, bread and cakes. Uncompromising in our coffee beans supplied by Artisan Roast and our loose leaf teas from Pekoe Tea. We serve up one of the best breakfasts and all day Weekend brunches in town and are famed for our Eggs Benny. We feel that customers with food intolerances should not have to put up with bland choices and pride ourselves in creating interesting and tasty cakes, bread, soups etc. that can be enjoyed by vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs alike.

I'm not sure how this place is still running as a business. It was dead quiet the saturday we visited, and although the staff are nice enough they surely cannot justify the high breakfast prices and blandness of the food. I opted for a veggie breakfast and was told I could not have something else instead of the egg when... More

This place is wonderful; the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is simply delicious. Another lovely thing is that it's run by two brothers, and feels like such a lovely family affair.

I nipped in here for a quick lunch. You choose what you want, order and pay, then the food is delivered to your table. The staff were efficient and polite. I had quiche and coffee, both good. The quiche came with a small salad, which had tasty seeds sprinkled through it. Cost £8. The cafe is spacious with a pleasant... More

We stayed near here whilst visiting Edinburgh, and went for breakfast on several occasions. Great coffee (very good cappucinos, and I'm picky), yummy scones, excellent eggs benny and other breakfast foods. The service was also top notch, and the dining area is very pleasant. Large windows, with a high ceiling and lots of light.

We went in just for coffee which was really good, happy that we chose the place. Place has nice atmosphere, and good crowd. Staff was very polite and attentive. We would have gone for the snacks or something else, but food was kinda pricey. Really depends on your budget I guess. If you want just coffee, it fits any budget,... More

Went there for a special birthday breakfast with my girlfriend. She has a gluten-free diet, for which there were a number of different options available. Had a delicious bacon, scrambled eggs and toast, with good fresh orange juice. Nice peppermint tea as well. Friendly staff and lovely ambiance.

Stayed locally this weekend in an apartment so decided the last morning we'd venture out for breakfast instead on eating in. Had walked past a couple of times and as it looked clean and well patronised we'd give it a whirl. Pleased we did as the food was very good, between the six of us there was a range of... More

Looking for a quick snack I went there for the first time with my daughter. Soup, Carrot & Lentil, was excellent. Roll and butter served with it was very tasty. My daughter opted for a croissant and juice which she thought was great as well. OK the price is a little high but I didn't grudge it as the food... More
