This is a real gem of a place. The food is excellent - all home made and very tasty. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a late lunch after a trip to the Royal Yacht. Obviously enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. Great cake selection, but we were too full to sample them.

I've eaten here for many various reasons, be it a family meal, private dining, breakfast, coffee and cake. The menu, decor and staff lend the place to any occasion. Proper authentic French dishes are ever prevalent, with their Croque Monsieur outstanding. There tends to be a hearty meat dish on the specials too, these are always well presented and correctly... The water of leith cafe bistro has been here for 5 years and living very close by I visit regularly. Never been dissapointed. It has the best Pate and oatcakes I have ever tried. Also the sticky toffee pudding is THE BEST!!!!!!! In fact everything I have tried ( and there has been lots) has always been fantastic. The staff... More

We used to be regulars here when we lived in Leith. Always a friendly welcome, great value for money and very family friendly. Food is always excellent and desserts are amazing! Loved the breakfasts too!

On our last day in Scotland we wanted to go to this place for breakfast. As they don't take reservation's we made sure we arrived right after opening up (10:00). The interior is very light and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. The breakfast menu has something for everyone, including typical scottish dishes. But after 2 weeks I was... More

I took mum for a birthday treat a couple of days back. We were a group of five, and between us we had cullen skink, chicken and chorizo brochette, Coley and risotto, fish cake, crepes, and felt that it would be overgreedy to finish with cakes, so we settled for coffee. The WOLCB is both a cafe and a bistro,... More

We were looking for a place to eat on a lazy Sunday afternoon and decided to use the Trip Advisor app and noticed this was quite highly rated and ranked. It is a bit out the way and finding parking was a small nuisance but other than that, we found the place was comfortable and pleasant. Can't say much for... More

Would highly recommend this Café. A decent range of options from coffee & cake, light snack through to 3 course meal. All served by friendly, attentive staff. Oh and the food, sublime.
