Description: Welcome to the Toby Carvery Liberton. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Edinburgh’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

Visited during the week. Food was amazing as usual. Although I found prices of puddings a bit too high. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere is always great. Will be back soon.

Opposite Mortonhall Crematorium, so handy location for after Funeral Tea. Deal was soup, sandwiches and tea/coffee for a price you could have had a main course for. Soup was served about half hour after we arrived, and was cold by the time we got it. Sandwiches were below average.

We were early and it was quite quiet but it soon became very busy. There was turkey, gammon, pork and beef with all the appropriate accompaniments. There was a good variety of vegetables, though they were a little overcooked. There was a wide choice of desserts, We had the Eton mess blackcurrent sundae which was good but a little lacking... Love this place. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is always fresh and hot whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. Replenished often. Never have to wait long for drinks or food. Comfortable, affordable with lovely gardens. Well worth a visit.

Don't usually like carveries. However, this one appears well-run and food is fresh. Good place for a cheap meal. I'd rate it "good" but trip advisor doesn't afford us that option. Have visited frequently on business meetings in the last few months. Go at busier times for freshest food.

We went for the “All-you-can-eat-breakfast” £3.99 and the “Unlimited Tea & Coffee” £1.99. We had to chase the staff to get them to fill up the empty food trays and if you go back for a top up you have wait all over again! Only managed to get one cup of unlimited coffee. Why you are waiting for the staff... More

Visited the Toby Carvery on the Sunday morning whilst caravanning in Edinburgh. To save cooking the sign said "breakfasts buffet for £3.99".Ordering the breakfast for 2 the price was £11.40. Coffee and tea was extra. Buffet breakfast was not too bad with a decent selection of sausages, bacon, scrambled and fried eggs along with hash browns, beans, mushrooms or tinned... More

We had travelled from Aberdeenshire on a flying visit to meet up with some of the family and have a casual meal and a chat. This is a good place to do this style of eating and greeting. The staff placed us in a good area suitable for seven adults and children. A few drinks to start and the menu... More
