We (two Couples) had a great night at this restaurant, the food was fresh and enjoyable, we waited about half an hour for our meal and was well worth it. Popadoms and a wee blether passed the time before our meal. This place is clean and classy. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. the waiters were... More

Had high expectations when we walked in. But waited an age to be served - an hour is too long to wait for the meal. When it came, general view from the 4 of us was "bland" It wasn't badly cooked, but had much better meals and paid much less for the privilege. Disappointing!

20 years ago, the Cavalry Club stood out not only as one of the top Indian restaurants in Edinburgh for food quality, but was way ahead of the rest in terms of making your visit feel something special. Sadly, on my most recent visit, the staff did everything possible to make me feel like something they had scraped off a... More

My wife and I live in Dallas, Texas. We enjoy Indian food. We were in Edinburgh on vacation. We found the Indian Calvary Club restaurant while walking back to our hotel. Our good luck. Johnny and his staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Food was great!! Enjoy. E. X. Martin

Like many Indians there is simply too much on the menu, and so you have no idea what to ask for. Here ask the waiter what they recommend. Go of the beaten track (no korma please)and wait and see. dishes don't run in sauce, the nan are great. Wee funny bar at the door too.

As regulars at the Indian Cavalry Club I am disappointed in not reviewing such a good restaurant before now. The setting is smart and allows you to dress up and the majority of people make an effort and look presentable for the restaurant, drinks are reasonably priced with a wide range. The starters are good and varied with your standard... More

Food was very good. Would recommend the Dosa - very tasty. Setting nice. Service a little slow. Servers could have looked a little happier perhaps. Will probably visit again.
