From walking up the steps we were treated like royalty! Yes, you pay a little extra than most places but everything was amazing. Food was plentiful and tasted great and I've never experienced such a high level of being waited upon. Even the little things like we asked for a glass of water so they brought us a jug and... More

Took my mother in law and two children for supper prior to them going back to school. The tone was set by the waiter putting the crested plates at various angles so we had to adjust them to put the crest at the top. I had to send my Chilli Garlic Chicken back for being bland. If I had paid... More

Had dinner here with some work colleagues and found the service to be attentive and the food good. Scotland is awash with Indian restaurants and this place is definitely above average. I wasn't blown away by the pakora and felt this to be the weakest part but the meats were very tender and tasty.

Excellent food in a very nice venue. Great selection of dishes, very attentive staff. Perhaps the only downside was that the staff were so attentive it felt as if you were being hurried after each course. But that apart, it was a wonderful evening. I was with people from a country where Indian cuisine is not commonly available - they... More

Had excellent starters and main courses for lunch. The food was perfectly cooked with a great balance of flavors.

The cavalry Club used to be a regular haunt on business trips to Edinburgh, so after 10 years away it was fun to return. I am told that it was six years ago that they moved across the road to new premises - but that is pretty much all that has changed. I still enjoyed the atmosphere, the superb service... More

Went here purely by coincidence as we were staying in Haymarket and having looked at the reviews after didn't expect it to be as good as it was, everyone wears 'cavalry' uniforms which is cute but we thought the service was really good and the food was excellent, also wasn't as expensive as we thought it would be so that's... After a week away in Europe, we were craving for some Asian style food. We found this restaurant just on our route from our accommodation to the city. We had a high expectation when we walked-in. But the food is just ordinary for our taste and pricey compare to what we usually paid for better Indian dish. Staff are very... More

We (two Couples) had a great night at this restaurant, the food was fresh and enjoyable, we waited about half an hour for our meal and was well worth it. Popadoms and a wee blether passed the time before our meal. This place is clean and classy. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. the waiters were... More

Had high expectations when we walked in. But waited an age to be served - an hour is too long to wait for the meal. When it came, general view from the 4 of us was "bland" It wasn't badly cooked, but had much better meals and paid much less for the privilege. Disappointing!
