This place is just off the main strip and is good value for money. Although the food is nothing to rave about, it is still good enough to eat and is reasonably priced along with cheap drinks. The service is friendly and there is plenty of room both up stairs where they have live music and downstairs.

The food was good, there was lots of it and the deals are excellent value, especially given that this is a capital city.

We ate here when we visited Edinburgh for the Festival. It was an awesome pub with great atmosphere. The food was fab, we hung out and played some pool after and listen to their music. Definitely would recommend this place.

Perhaps as the Festival and Fringe are in full flow, or perhaps the norm, but this city centre venue served expensive drinks in plastic tumblers: a pint of beer and a white wine, more than a tenner. I noted no toilets here, although the place appeared to indicate that patrons should use the downstairs public toilets. Food, which on my... More

I would strongly recommend that you avoid The Tron. To say that they have hygiene issues is an understatement. Toilet was smelly and disgusting (it was still early in the evening), crumbs of food on the tables and floor, and many of the chairs had large stains on the seats. Food was inedible. The meat was so dry the consistency... More

Ideal location for a beer in the burger during the Fringe. It would be a regular visit for us when going through the Old Town.

I would definitely not recommend this place. I went here during the Fringe festival and was having a great time, I popped to the toilet and when I came back one of the bar ladies literally took my drink out of my hand, without an explanation. I was completely taken back by this, I have never heard of some one... More

Arrived here after looking at menu on internet and it came across as a family friendly area, well what a shock I got. We walked down the stairs to get a table only for the waitress to come up and say that as I had children I would have to move down to the dedicated area for kids, which was... More

Not somewhere you would visit for a nice fancy meal out but perfect for pub grub with friends. I visited here with a friend before seeing a couple of shows at the festival. Both had a huge burger and chips etc with a beer for £7.50. Can't really grumble at that, it was all we were looking for to fill... More
