Large 3 level pub in the centre of Edinburgh. We have some of the cheapest drink selections in town so we are very popular with students and backpackers. Traditional pub food served at brilliantly low prices. We are not affiliated with the venue known as the Tron Kirk.

A nice place

I went there (on 23/07) with 3 friends to have lunch. The place wasn't so busy but there was only one guy taking orders and the food to the tables. He was really friendly (talking in our mother language and all), he also seemed in such a good mood despite all the work he had to do. He's basically... read more

This is a cheap and cheerful pub, offering good food and cheap drinks. The food was quite nice although the portion sizes are smallish but saying that i was a cheap place to eat so was expected. The staff are really pleasant and friendly and its a overall nice place to eat.

You can't do better than The Tron for a sports bar. We went to watch Wimbledon and had a great meal (menu is enormous) and a few drinkies. Nice atmosphere and great service. Thumbs up!

A great little boozer. Had a good selection of drinks and food. The burgers are excellent and good value. There needed to be more staff behind the bar though but apart from that, would definately recommend.

Didn't have a meal in here but popped in for drinks with 12 other work colleagues before heading off for a ghost walk tour on Saturday night. Very busy however great staff delivering very good service with a smile. Table kept clean & cleared of empty glasses, fantastic prices of drinks considering where it's situated in Edinburgh. Next time I'll... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
