Description: An unpretentious Tapas restaurant serving uncomplicated Tapas From Spain and South Africa. If you're looking for a luxurious experience based on whatever rating we have on Tripadvisor at present, we advise you to look elsewhere. Please note we have tried many times to get Tripadvisor to remove the Child Friendly tag from our listing they have not done this. Due to local licensing laws we are not permitted to allow children under 5 years of age as we have no changing facilities. Parties of Six or more will be required to pay a deposit of £10 per person on booking to secure the booking. This is due to repeated no-shows.

Had a great meal this evening. Particularly enjoyed the croquets, haggis, prawns and the courgette & feta. Also the best pistachio ice cream I've had in the UK. Very open and viewable kitchen, and the chef/owner even did a walk round for a chat. Very friendly place with excellent food. Slightly hidden away and unassuming but a proper hidden gem!!

First visit for 3 out of 4 of us; will be repeated. First time to a tapas restaurant; reluctant husband has been converted. We visited at Saturday lunchtime when the restaurant was quiet. Excellent service from a friendly, efficient and informative waiter who helped us make some choices. Tapas brought out in relays as required. We really enjoyed everything, seafood,... More

Daughter took me to Indaba for a Tapas meal before the Billy Connelly show. I had other places in mind with more traditional food. But the staff were keen to help me select the courses and all exceeded my expectations. The Zebra steak was wonderful and the service immaculate. I can see why my daughter often comes here. Very popular for plenty of reasons so make sure you book, a varied tapas menu that guarantees you'll be trying something new during your visit. Personally would've preferred more meat options but the veggie tapas were great so not complaining. Great desserts too!

Loved our dinner here last night. All the tables were reserved but they squeezed us in before our theatre visit. Unusual in that we had zebra with Jerusalem artichoke. Loved the ginger and lime cheesecake.

dropped in last night for first time and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Would recommend booking in advance however, as very popular place.

If you're looking to try something delicious but a little different, this is definitely the place! The tapas are an interesting mix of spanish, South African, Venezuelan and Scottish- an unlikely but successful combination. Also plenty of varied veggie tapas, which can be hard to find. The "try something new" (which you can't avoid) nature of the menu combined with... More

This is my first time to try Tapas....it is really good. I have tried haggies with special spain ingredient. It is much better than the regular haggies....The grill prawn and pork rib are highly recommended... full of tasty!

Thanks Alex D for the 5* review. No special Spanish ingredient for our haggis, other than the idea came from la Jefa's mother. The pork ribs recipe is disputed in house but I claim the idea and the kudos for having them on the menu in the first place. More

A slightly off-beat fusion that really works. The food is wonderful and the waiters are really good at describing dishes you haven't had before. But it is all, without exception, lovely. An interesting twist to every dish. Best to reserve a table as it's a small place and cosy. Food arrives quickly and is very tasty. Wine is good too... More

Thanks for the 5* review. The Commander in Chief is Spanish and I, her humble minion, am from Southern Africa. Not quite fusion but we make it work somehow! Normally you have to pay quite a bit to get a decent glugging example of Pinotage but the folk at Durbanville Hills have managed to make an easy going Pinotage for... More

Visited Indaba one Saturday evening as a group of four. What a fantastic meal. Service was fantastic, waiter was great at explaining what the various dishes were & making recommendations. Every dish of the ten we ordered were excellent. The meatballs & the chorizo dish were particularly good. We also ordered a trio of desserts, again, all delicious. Good wine,... More
