We dined here recently based on good things we has heard from other friends. On arrival we were greeted warmly and there was a very pleasant buzz to the intimate dining room. The service was perfect and we could not have asked for anything better. We all really loved the food - it was fresh, very tasty and well presented.... More

We've dined at Indaba over a number of years and enjoyed a consistently high standard of cooking offering a wide range of tapas style dishes spanning three different continents. On the most recent occasion we dined on crocodile tails marinaded in citrus fruits, bruschetta but with a difference including Serrano ham and a dish comprising shoulder pork accompanied by raisins.... Indaba is a small intimate restaurant in one of the side streets in Edinburgh. They specialize in Spanish and South African food and all the dishes are served in tapas style serving. Food is tasty and well prepared. They have an extensive list of specials for the day and booking is essential.

I found this place on Trip Advisor and checked out their website, the combination of different cuisines intrigued me. I'm glad I found this place the food was very tasty and offers a great deal of variety and allows you to try something different at a reasonable price. The staff are really friendly - its worth a visit.

Found this place on trip advisor, five minutes walk from our hotel (Novotel). Great tapas...good size portions....waiter recommended five plates between two of us which was pretty spot on with the added bread and olives. Food was excellent...the pig cheeks slow cooked in red wine were to die for, absolutely falling apart. We also had the charcuterie and manchego board,... More

Our first night in Edinburgh and this restaurant was very near to where we were staying. It was highly recommended and we weren't disappointed - interesting choice of dishes - everything we chose was delicious. Relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend booking as it was quite busy.

Tried the Indaba before going to the theatre, after reading the reviews on here.... what a cracking little tapas bar ! Totally unexpected with great food, a good beer selection and excellent service. Advised to take 5 dishes between the two of us, the spare ribs (melt in mouth) and the grilled pork (really flavoursome) stood out as the best... More

We really enjoyed our tapas meal in Indaba and the staff were vey helpful advising us on our choices. Because my husband and I had holidayed in South Africa a few years ago it was nice to have a Castle beer and boerevours and zebra steak, that was very good, tender and lovely flavour. Was curious about the joint Spanish... More

I caught sight of another review and 'unpretentious' fit the bill. Lovely service, delicious and interesting food and a nice laid back atmosphere.
