Visited with 20-odd colleagues for a Christmas lunch with fairly low expectations. 3 choices each of starter, main & dessert and could happily have chosen anything from the menu. Goats cheese starter, ribeye steak and a textbook creme brûlée. Mains came with a pan of dauphinoise and a bowl of chips, both for sharing, as well as some bread, salad,... More

Stopped in here for late lunch from our Xmas shopping and loved it , truly delicious food, was a bit noisy with one table of women , but once they had finished was very cosy, just what my wife and I needed, will definitely be back , reminded of our times in Paris, and was better than some of the... Was here with my fiancé on saturday night as the restaurant had been reccomended to us. Lovely cosy little restaurant, reasonable prices, great food - the dauphinoise potatoes are amazing!! Fillet steaks brilliant too. Only one thing I didnt like was the waitress asking if we could keep the same cultery for our mains that had been used to eat... More

We went for a 'girls' lunch on Saturday 6 December. Although we had booked a table the manager seemed puzzled as to where he would seat us. When we pointed out we had booked he retorted he had no seats, we were told he didn't have any tables with chairs - we would need to sit at one with benches.... More

I am so glad you found the food tasty : The "Salmon en croute" delicious, the Roquefort Rib eye steak outstanding, the gratin Dauphinois... so creamy!!! I am not mentioning your grunts of delight when devouring our "chocolate and orange panacotta" and the Vanilla Creme brulee! I am so thankful you judge us to be very good value for money... More

I popped in here on recommendation when in Edinburgh on business. The only thing that reminded me I wasn't in a Parisian bistrot was the friendly service and reasonable prices! The salad dressing could be straight out of a French grandmothers kitchen and the fact it's served up to start with baguette and butter makes it all the more appealing.... More

popped in for lunch on a Saturday without a reservation when the place we had reserved cancelled on us at short notice. So glad Chez Jules were able to fit us in. The gratis bread and salad was very welcoming but the soup and terrine starters were lovely. The main of coq au van was delicious and the whole lunch... More

Was a nice experience in this restaurant. It felt very authentic like I was in a restaurant in France and the food was just delicious. I visited with a friend but would definitely take my boyfriend who is French to enjoy this lovely place. The waitresses loved my attempt at ordering in French! The price was really good as well,... I had a business lunch today and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was good, starters and mains very enjoyable and all for a bargain price. We ordered dessert and coffee and whilst the desserts were forgotten about, who actually needs 3 courses for lunch and the coffee satisfied us. I will be back.
