lovely place, excellent food & staff

popped in for a reasonably priced 3 course lunch with my partner and was blown away by the quality of food, service and ambience. Will definately go back to this charming and romantic place to eat - fabulous.

My partner and I went here for lunch on valentines day. My cousin recommended this place to us. What character it has! Never judge a book by its cover. It's welcoming and relaxing and the food was amazing! I have recommended to friends and will defo go again when we get back to edinburgh

Third visit here as we love the food. However, arriving into a wall of sound where the customers are having to shout to outdo the music made the experience worse than going to a club. The waitress has to shout to us to get our order and we had to point at the menu to be understood. Conversation was impossible... More

Having been to Paris twice last year I wanted to combine my Louis Vuitton shopping experience with a bit of French food......This was a huge mistake. The lady who served us was faultless and that was the only good thing about this restaurant as we spent the night having loose bowel motions and sickness. The table was dirty and the... More

Without too much insight, one could have guessed that combining a Louis Vuitton shopping experience with a bit of French food at Chez Jules might have been an error. I guess, any other restaurant other than “la Tour d’Argent” or “le Plaza Athenee” could have pleased the discerning elite shopper. Your scathing and exaggerated review leaves me offended and hurt!... The second time I have been in and loved it. Took advantage of the lunchtime deal which is just £7.90 for 2 courses and was delicious. The staff are lovely and I will definitely be returning!

Now first we didn't book, we turned up on the off chance. They found us a table outside the kitchen, which was ok. What wasn't was the fact that the staff kept banging into two of us as they entered or left the kitchen, they shouldn't seat people here, or if they do only on one side of the table.... More

We we're put in the corner with a little horn to honk for attention which we thought was sweet until we realised we were sat next to the broken entrance door which slams shut every time someone enters. It shook the table and we pretended we were eating during the blitz. Annoying. We were served by a variety of waitresses... More

Great choice on menu, loved the choice of wines, authentic French classic dishes and buzz in the room.

Lunch here is always very good. Speedy very friendly cheerful service. Good atmosphere and excellent food . Two courses £7.95 once seated bread, dried meat, olives and a salad on the table. Himself had terrine which was excellent and I had French onion soup with crouton and cheese. Very very good made with great meat stock. I had cow au... More
