Good but overprice food, very slow service! We had to keep calling the waiter to make the orders and clean our table, a waither should never ever leave the room! My order came wrong twice.

The food is good but really expensive for what it is. The service is really awful and slow! I don't pretend to get back to this restaurant.

My friend and I treated ourselves to lunch here but it turned out to be not much of a treat . The first thing I spotted when I sat down was a big blob of red wine in my glass. We chose the set menu: 3 courses for just under £17 seemed not bad. Unfortunately pork belly was off the... More

A friend and I decided to go for lunch, having heard some fantastic reviews. We were greatly disappointed. The lunch menu didn't have much choice on it and the quality of food was terrible. The ham hough terrine tasted awful, was covered in oil and the presentation was slap-dash at best. The coq au vin was average, served with tasteless... More

Sunday lunch with a group of friends during the festival. Place was deserted when we arrived at 12.30 and although it got busier it never filled up. Maybe this is normal and that's why there really weren't enough staff on duty and those that were seemed inexperienced. Tried to order wine - but both our first and second choice were... More

My mother and I went in for a quick meal during the festival...initially they said they were fully booked but then gave us a table on the condition we ordered immediately. We were shown to a table and a waiter took our drinks order.... I ordered a gin and lemonade and my mother a glass of white wine, the waiter... More

Had Sunday lunch here with friends. We had plenty of time, but informed the staff that we had booked to see a show, so would need to leave in an hour and a half. There was no choice in the Bistro, only a set 4 courses at £25, which was more than we wanted, but due to limit of time... More

Two years ago you couldn't get me out of the place. This year it was a different story. We had our annual company meal here and it was, frankly, pretty awful. The choice is very limited during festival time, and one can't blame them for wanting to keep it simple, but dear Heaven, the menu is dull dull dull. They'd... More

Expectations are always high when you remember the glory days of HduV past. Unfortunately, today's experience is but a shadow of the original concept. A short menu should mean freshness and competence at least, but our experience was varied- including over cooked tuna. What was unforgivable was slow and mediocre service- albeit that the wine waiter was much more on... More

Had a delicious cocktail with my daughter this afternoon but the whole experience was spoiled by lack of presentation and it was also served in a chipped glass. Very disappointed , won't be rushing back.
