Yum!

Loved it. Shared the chateaubriand - couldn't fault it. Managed to squeeze in a dessert too. Lovely surroundings, good service.

From window great view of the mini kelpies and people passing by. Food took some to come but it was obviously freshly cooked and very good. Chilli burger was excellent, fries not so. Chicken and prawn Gumbo was excellent...slightly spicy...just perfect for my taste. Only one drawback...table of 4 older rather inebriated women being too noisy and kind of spoiled... More

What a nice place, is part of the Rutland / Huxley / Kyloe company. Great steak, great wine. Sydney and the team were fab, caramel brûlée ice cream was marvellous. Not cheap but worth it. Birthdays, anniversaries and important business meals for sure. Will go back for sure, just need to save up first!

We wanted to eat here for long time but we hesitated because of the price. Eventually we had dinner here once and I have to say that it's a total value! The atmosphere, the service and the food! I have to say that I haven't taste lamb so soft and tasty and tender for years! And that was back on... More

Even though we didn't have a reservation on a busy Sunday lunchtime, they found a table for us and even managed to conjure up a Sunday roast, which you normally have to book 48 hours in advance. The staff were absolutely superb and the sticky toffee pudding was out of this world! Cant thank them enough, but I know where... More

I visited with family after a show and it certainly didn't disappoint. The food was excellent, the steaks were all perfectly cooked and delicious as were all the sides. Our waiter Chris was very good, he provided an excellent demonstration of the various cuts of meat available and the merits and best cooking temperature for each one - it was... More

I'd heard great things about this place so decided to give it a try. Firstly I was surprised by the number of tables and diners here - I expected it to be more intimate a restaurant, I think if we had been in a booth rather than a tiny table for two this wouldn't have been such an issue. The... More

Had visited this steakhouse during the lunch time. Absolutely amazed with the decor! The designer has thought about every small part even the hangers for the coats has a unique design and shape! The red wine is kept behind the window walls so that you can explore the various vintages and origins. The comfy booths are covered with the leather... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
