Absolutely fantastic place! The restaurant itself is lovely and well decorated. The staff are up there in the best. Completely assured about what to order and how to have your steak cooked from a presentation at the beginning about each one! Food was outstanding from start to finish! Could not recommend highly enough! And GREAT value for money!

Came here for our anniversary meal and couldn't have made a better choice! From the charcuterie to the steaks to the wine, everything was perfect and it was all served by friendly and helpful staff. As residents of the hotel we received a hefty discount too which was very nice! Brill.

Great 62 Day aged Ribeye. Ribeye is a cut I don't normally order, preferring a nice thick sirloin or fillet, but this was amazing. Oysters to start were super fresh and delicious and my girlfriend had sea bass which she loved. Decent sized menu, but not to big. Good wine list, very good Bin end specials. The staff make the... Booked a table at Kyloe on our visit to Edinburgh and what a wonderful meal we had. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and showed to our table. Our waiter who is from Italy was professional and friendly. We did not feel rush though we had been given a get up time. Our food was beautifully cooked and served. The... More

I went here for a business lunch and was impressed. We all ordered steaks and they were perfectly cooked and flavoursome. The chips were very nice as well. The decor was modern and there was a nice atmosphere about the restaurant. Staff were helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. I hope to,return again soon.

Our second time here and just as amazing. The menu has changed since then but change is good. The staff are great and super helpful and friendly. The steak presentation is a great addition especially if you can't decide what you want. Perfect presentation with everything that's put on the table. I even loved the bone marrow which is something... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
