We visited in July for dinner and booked a table a day in advance. The place is not large, but nice and friendly without having to squeeze between the tables. We had the grilled langoustines, filet of salmon and the grilled seabass. The food was good, but the chef could maybe reduce a litlle bit on the amount of butter... More

We went to Leith, a district of Edinburgh located at the North Sea marina area well away from tourist areas. It was charming and we walked all over the area. We passed many restaurants, settled on lunching at this one which had been recommended to us. We sat at an outside table and it felt very much like Provence. Ordered... More

I recently visited this restaurant during lunchtime with friends after researching on the internet for good seafood restaurants in Edinburgh. Not disappointed. I had the fish n chips which was good and my wife had the seafood chowder and the fishcakes (as starters), both very fresh! My friend also tried the surf n turf (half lobster and rib eye) but... Having just visited the former the Royal Yacht Brittania, we took a 15 minutes walk to this restaurant. A fantastic seafood platter was followed by various main courses - langoustines, sea bass and the best tasting Sole ever! Service was friendly and efficient. The wine list was lengthy and decent priced. The seafood brilliant!

Fantastic seafood meal had by group of 12. Langoustines (or prawns if your not posh) excellent. Cullen skink great as a starter. Restaurant is located near the sea and on the Water of Leith. Nice paintings and huge mirror that makes the room distinctive. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

If you're a seafood lover, this is the one place in Edinburgh that you cannot miss. You'll find the freshest, tastiest versions of everything you've ever loved from the ocean here. Go hungry, as portions are huge. Service was solid, but not amazing. Doesn't matter, though, because they could spit in your face and double the prices ... and you'd... More

Just what you expect from a seafood institution: great seafood with a great atmosphere. Not cheap, always busy; WYSIWYG

My partner and I dined her back in July. A small and cosy restuarant with atmosphere and beautiful decor. Both being seafood fans we had this on our list as a must try and were not disapointed. We both had cullen skink for starters, a very generous portion full of flavour and fish. My partner had the king hand dived... More
