Brilliant food, excellently cooked and extremely friendly staff. Comfortable restaurant in a nice location. Shame it's so hidden away! Would recommend to anyone.
Minute place, but good food and drink on offer, well cooked dishes , a little bit salty for my liking , but my partner enjoyed them. This place is really hidden away but was recommended by our hotel. The locals always know their backyard better than us touristy types.
great place never ever visited a indian restaurant like 9 cellar truely indian
we were going to the stand comedy club next door & were looking for 'a place to eat' - well how about indian restaurant next door. Not sure about the "& bar" bit of name as it is tiny inside BUT the restaurant certainly deserves praise for its food. Properly cooked chicken & lamb meals - all 3 of tasty... More
First heard of this restaurant through a recommendation from my cousin, so I thought I'd give it a go. My wife and I were heading to the theatre so we arrived earlier than we would normally eat (1800) and we were the first people in the restaurant. The restaurant is tucked away down some steps and on arrival the place... More
Step into this restarant and you might think you were in a typical run off the mill Indian restaurant as the decor is ordinary, but if ever there was a case of not judging a book by the cover, this is it. The menu is varied without being overlyextensive but the quality of the cuisine is unsurpassed by any other... More
9 Cellars is tucked away, but once found we were more than pleased with the beautiful food and friendly service. The owner/chef went out of his way to make sure everything was just right. We can see why they have been given a Top Restaurant Award. We do not hesitate in recommending this restaurant to any one. Just keep looking,... More
First visited in April and was impressed. Returned in July and it was awful. Luckily we were on a half price offer (not surprised they've been reduced to this). Fried prawns for starters were greasy and tasteless, four for £5. The spinach and cheese starter was ok, again deep fried. Main of king prawn with supposedly tomatoes and chillie was... More
This place could be so good! The location is good and the food is brilliant as is the service but the restaurant has the interior of a cafe and looks so dated. It really needs tablecloths, new cutlery, bowls and chutney dishes and it will be top class - if non of that bother you then you have found gem.
This is a small restaurant and it is in a cellar. Having said that the food was great, service fine without being intrusive. Food and wine were reasonably priced. We had four different starters and four different mains, and they all tasted pretty good, only criticism would be that the puris were very greasy, but they did say deep fried... More
