We booked a table for Wildfire on a Friday evening and we were so pleased we did! We must have seen ten customers turned away while we were there as the restaurant was fully booked. This is a small restaurant but it has a lovely welcoming feel to it. The staff were helpful and pleasant. I ordered garlic mushrooms to... More

It is way down the west end of Rose street (an act of faith as you search it out). But the walk was worth it. We enjoyed a excellent Cullen Skink and 2 seafood dishes in this small restaurant of quality cooking and careful service If you like seafood, put it on your list

We were in Edinburgh for the night and wanted a nice steak. My daughter asked her friend, who is local, and he suggested this little gem of a place. We were told to book ahead as it is only a small place and gets full, even on a week night. We went on the Wednesday and the friend was correct... More

The atmosphere is charming and the staff very friendly. The price was reasonable for Edinburgh. For appetizers I had the Cullen skink made with locally smoked haddock and it was fantastic. My companion had the fried prawns which were really more like scampi. For dinner we both had the certified, grass-fed angus ribeye. Living most of my life in beef... More

We have been here several times now and still cannot believe the quality of food that comes out of a kitchen no larger than mine at home. Friendly courteous staff , quality food in the medium price bracket , what more can you want. We will be going back again and again.

The ambience of the place and the decor is very nice and cozy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the food was amazing. I had the soup of the day which was mushroom and courgette which was beautiful, as was the pate my husband had. We both had fish for our main course which was cooked beautifully. You... More

We ate here just before we got married and loved the food and atmosphere, so 4 years later we were back. I had Cullen skink and my husband had mussels to start and then both had the rib eye steak which was divine. Excellent food presented very well. No room for a pud but had a great coffee instead. Hopefully... More

After having a look at a few trip advisor reviews we decided on Wildfire despite being fully booked the waitress suggested we have a drink across the road and she'd come and find us when a table came available. Sure enough 15 minutes later she came to get us and the culinary experience began. Delicious starters the Haggis was fantastic... More
