Food was wonderful; the dining room is very ordinary and crowded and staff is casual and harried - definitely not white cloth fine dining in atmosphere. But: the dinner was really excellent (our favorite - a shellfish stew overflowing with lots of mussels, lobster, clams, and shrimp in a great very well-seasoned broth)

Eaten here every time we have stayed in Edinburgh. The food is always of a high standard and beautifully presented. Staff are really welcoming. You need to book to ensure a table.

We had a really good meal at Wildfire. Nothing unusual, but everything was very well prepared. Excellent, friendly service. I would happily return again.

Dropped in for a snack; ordered the Cullen Skink. It was more expensive than what I'd had in other restaurants but I received a larger sized portion along with couple of slices of a nice bread with butter, if requested/offered. Small, intimate, enjoyable.

We popped in for a snack and drink and mostly to rest our aching feet after a days shopping in Princes st. Although this is really a restaurant they were happy to serve us some smaller bites from the menu and a plate of delicious cheeses. Service was prompt and friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. Only downside... More

If you like meat, this is the place! The atmosphere is very charming and upper class. So are the prices... Anyway, the quality is undeniably very high. Even if I still think it is too expensive and too hard to find place (riservation in advance is compulsory). The sticky toffee pudding is one of the best in town.

Me and my wife completed our tour in Scotland with two nights in Edinburgh whereof the last day was our anniversery day. As it was a Sunday, many of the tripadvisor toprated restaurants were closed, we asked our B&B host for a good restaurant with Scottish style an he suggested Wildfire. What a great suggestion! It's a rather small and... More

The food that we had at Wildfire was positively excellent as was the service. The steaks which we ordered were cooked exactly to our liking and were delicious with the portions being a good size but not excessive. We have already recommended this place to all of our friends and will be definitely visiting again.

Glad we booked to start with as this restaurant was positively heaving about 30 mins after our 730pm booking. Staff were excellent and provided us with additional starter because we were sharing it, at no extra cost. Food was excellent but fairly priced for the quality, good range of locally sourced and seasonal produce. The restaurant was packed but still... More

The meal was amazing, prawns to start with and I had lamb for my main which was very good, the service was excellent and the waiters are really good at suggesting drink choices with your meal, the wine and beer are also very good quality, would definitely go back
