We found this inconspicuous little restaurant tucked away in Rose street, the menu looked divine so we booked (it was a good job we did, they had to turn 20+ people away!) for a weekday evening! It was hands down the best meal out I've had for ages. The service was fantastic and the food was just indescribably delicious!! It's... More

We went to wildfire with a hankering for a juicy steak. We were not disappointed!! As we had a 13mth old with us we were dining early and managed to get a seat at 5.15pm (as the doors opened) without a problem but from the sounds of people trying to book tables for that night it was fully booked for... We ate at Wildfire tonight after long day walking round Edinburgh. We ordered two fillet steaks with the wildfire sauce (blue cheese, whisky and cream) and french fries. The meal was so good we barely spoke (rare trust me) only to murmur 'wow'. Somehow we fitted in dessert and the sticky toffee pudding was incredible. The wine we had was... More

I've been here a few times now and every time it's been exceptional. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the food is superb, particularly the steaks. For me, it's one of the "must goes" in Edinburgh 😀

Wildfire is not located in a place you would expect to find a place this good. Rose Street in downtown Edinburgh is a fully touristic pub and kebap street, so will for sure miss Wildfire. But on an October evening, when the street becomes quiet, you might just notice it. Which we did but were not able to get in... More

We booked a table for Wildfire on a Friday evening and we were so pleased we did! We must have seen ten customers turned away while we were there as the restaurant was fully booked. This is a small restaurant but it has a lovely welcoming feel to it. The staff were helpful and pleasant. I ordered garlic mushrooms to... More

It is way down the west end of Rose street (an act of faith as you search it out). But the walk was worth it. We enjoyed a excellent Cullen Skink and 2 seafood dishes in this small restaurant of quality cooking and careful service If you like seafood, put it on your list

We were in Edinburgh for the night and wanted a nice steak. My daughter asked her friend, who is local, and he suggested this little gem of a place. We were told to book ahead as it is only a small place and gets full, even on a week night. We went on the Wednesday and the friend was correct... More

The atmosphere is charming and the staff very friendly. The price was reasonable for Edinburgh. For appetizers I had the Cullen skink made with locally smoked haddock and it was fantastic. My companion had the fried prawns which were really more like scampi. For dinner we both had the certified, grass-fed angus ribeye. Living most of my life in beef... More
