Beautiful spacious room in great location.

Booked a night here as a surprise birthday treat for my girlfriend so it had to be a winner. Met and exceeded my expectations with champagne on arrival, massive bed, heated floor bathroom, gas fire, seating area and plenty of space to relax in. Great location for clubs, restaurants and shopping... read more

We went for cocktails on a Wednesday evening and were very disappointed with the service we received. Not only were there 3 members of staff who were behind the bar doing very little, but I stood for 7 minutes without having my order taken. There were 2 other people at the bar having similar success. Our order, when finally taken,... More

We had cocktails at the bar prior to our afternoon tea. The bar tender was fab, created cocktails for us that wasn't on the menu and they were delicious. We were very excited for afternoon tea. We got taken through for our afternoon tea. And was seated at a lovely big table. We ordered our afternoon tea 3 x deluxe... More

The food here is to die for! Every mouthful is heaven!! We also did a cocktail master class as a hen do which was brilliant. The restaurant is luxury. We all loved our night here!

Had pre drinks before moving elsewhere for dinner. The ladies enjoyed cocktails but found it took too long to get served and finally receive our drinks. The service was a bit slow and was never asked if we would like fresh drinks when we were all mostly finished. Very trendy place that's meant for a younger crowd.

A wonderful atmosphere with attentive and pleasant staff. I can't get enough of this place. It's a must go every time I'm in Edinburgh. My favourite is the Gin Battered Scallops and the Apple Crumble with Carmel Sauce is devine. Excellent selection of good wines and the cocktails are to die for.

Really nice modern bar, adorned with very lifelike artificial flowers around the entrance, & inside some beautiful vases filled with flowers. Great ambience, professional friendly staff, really enjoyed it.

Visited the restaurant for a lunch time gathering with colleagues. Great menu choices and the food was well proportioned. Lovely dessert menu. Great presentation. Few mix ups with drinks but quickly resolved. Great atmosphere and decor!

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
