Lovely afternoon tea

Bought an Itison voucher for afternoon tea and really enjoyed it. At first we were put into a small conservatory area and I think the waiter saw from my face that I wasn't too impressed and he asked if we would like to move into the main area. This was appreciated as it was much nicer. The... read more

I came for a visit to Edinburgh from a town called Bradford in England.. I came along with my class mates and tutors to experience a 5* bling.. As soon as we walked in we were approached and collected by one of the managers or staff called Jewels if my memory serves me correct... Bless her she was amazing she... More

Love the remodel Tigerlily has had. A lovely meal, amazing cocktails. Chocolate foundue is always my fave but love the way it's been upgraded. Was great we had seats reserved and they were free the whole evening. As always will be back.

One of the best you can stay in, great staff great service and the food is fantastic, the pretty people use this place and there is a reason why.. It's special and you feel as though you are in a special place. Service at bar can be slow

We visited Tigerlily as part of a work outing/team building evening. Staff were friendly, very helpful and very pleasant. I was so surprised at the value offered by the venue as I thought it would be overly pricey. Their offers throughout the week are brilliant and I cannot fault them! Food was delicious and piping hot! I had the burger... More

Have been to Tigerlily on a few occasions before and always had a good time. Came for afternoon tea which was lovely! Was here on a Saturday and it was packed as usual, it's a little annoying that you can't book tables for drinks (only food) but i understand at the same time. Always lovely cocktails and although you wait... More

I had organised a dinner for 25 of my colleagues with Tigerlilly. Tammie, the Event Manager, was an absolute delight to deal with throughout the entire booking process. On the night we were looked after by Lynnette who couldn't of done more for us, our glasses were always topped up and we never needed to ask for anything. Lynnette and... More

Spent 5 days in Edinburgh and tigerlily was by far the best place we ate.... Brilliant service and even better food. We enjoyed all 3 courses and found it to be excellent standard. Plus it has an amazing cocktail bar just through the entrance if your after a relaxing few drinks.

The atmosphere is great and the place is very stylish, but I cannot say the same for the food. Definitely overpriced as the food is very average in addition to not be properly cooked. Will not return.

The positives: inside it is very modern and high end. It is also very laid out. The staff are nice and very jolly. Our scallops starters were cooked to perfection and the fondue dessert was wonderful. Negatives: How you manage to overcook a rare fillet steak is beyond me. As stated above the staff are very jolly, but when I... More

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
