We were 3 couples that ordered a 3 course dinner with wine. The food was very good and so were the wine. We had different courses and everything was good. We can recommend this place.

Stopped by here for a drink on a rainy day recently. Staff were delightful. Selection of wines by the glass was a little limited but plenty by the bottle! Would definitely call again.

Visited here on 25th April. Food was fantastic and menu is very varied from British, French, Asian and North African styles. Reasonably priced as well, we spent £282 for 6 of us, this included 3 bottles of Cotes de Rhone at £28 per bottle. Staff are very helpful and attentive, we will return.

Even though our first Impression was rather negative, the food made us change it to the positive very quickly. I would say the kitchen is more Maighrebian than French but very well prepared.

This is a very pleasant restaurant in old town with accommodating service and good coconut chicken, which was the only dish I ordered. It was tasty enough to warrant another visit to try other things from the menu.

This is a French style rustic restaurant in a quaint street of Edinburgh with fresh flowers and quirky decor and furniture. The menu is wide ranging and everything we ordered was filling and delicious. The service was very friendly and this is an unstuffy, casual place to enjoy great food.

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
