Will never be Licked

Varani's Forum Cafe in Kilmarnock make wonderful ice creams and sorbets. Don't just take my word for it, queue up for ages just to be served one of the 48 flavours on offer. It can take ages to pick one you would like to try, and this cafe offers the opportunity to mix and match. A nice old... read more

The choice of flavours is amazing, The taste is in a class of it's own, the choice of ways to serve it is wonderful, from an old fashioned cone to a family sized tub. New waffled cones with chocolate and sprinkles or an old fashioned wafer. We took our friends from Glasgow in and introduced them to the delights of... More

When we eat out in the Kilmarnock area we never have dessert. Instead we nip to High Glencairn Street, find a parking space and troop into the Forum for an ice cream treat. The selection of ice cream - and jarred sweeties like you used to buy in a wee paper poke - is amazing. Whether you fancy a cone... More

We had a meal in Irvine and decided to drop in here for pudding despite it being way off our route. The place has an old fashioned feel about it that reminds me of the seaside resorts of Devon and Cornwall in the 60s with the very best milk used to produce excellent ice cream. A very wide range of... More

I took my wife to Varani's to get an ice cream to reminisce a bit about old times when we used to go there as teenagers. I was delighted to find not much had changed except maybe a much larger range of flavours. We both took a tub with 2 scoops of different kinds and I can honestly say they... More

Honestly some of the best Ice Cream I have ever tasted, the best in Ayrshire by far! Also sell a wide range of sweets (including retro).

Varanis has being going through a refurbishment recently and popped in today to see what was going on...They now have 49 different flavours of ice cream to choose from which makes it so difficult to make your mind up...I wanted a scoop of each but settled on 4 flavours in a litre tub...Once again the ice cream was fantastic...I will...
