Taken to this restaurant by friends who live in Dundee. They have been coming here regularly, but it was our first time. First the good news. Food is excellent and fresh, beautifully cooked, the flavours are stunning. The staff are friendly and attentive, without being over the top. Decor is great too, and I love the idea of the art gallery around the... More

Tipped off by a local in the street, we opened the dark blue door to a tiny, richly coloured friendly little restaurant. The owner reputedly prepares all the meat himself, and also creates the paintings which cover the walls (joyful naive art, the best we've seen outside of a specialist gallery). In a fairly meaty restaurant we asked for a... More

Not been for a little over a year. It's still very atmospheric crammed with unique art - some must of been there at least 20 years - others new. The menu has changed little in this time too - except the prices now look a little steep. For the two of us, with one course and soft drinks it's now... More

In 30 years of loving the Agacan sit-in or take-out I am disappointed to say that for the first time I was not completely satisfied with the food. The portions were on the mean side and the meat was dry. I'm just hoping it was a "blip" and the chef had a bad day.

My partner & I ate here when staying in Dundee for the weekend. After reading other reviews on Tripadvisor we booked for the Saturday night. On arrival we weren't sure as it looks a bit strange from the outside, the inside only seats approx 20 so not a lot of room to come & go. The cooking are is open... More

This place is absolutely tiny so I would recommend booking. Fantastic chicken with the best rice ever. Artwork outside is fantastic, would definitely go back

My friend and I visited the Agacan last night as my friend and I meet up every so often and the Agacan is our favourite restaurant in Dundee to dine as we love their food, over the years we have slowly went through the menu as we are right foodies but our favourites are Iskender for main course and Kizartma... Our first visit for many years. Enjoyed the vibrant decor / art work. Small restaurant, not very busy on Friday evening. Chicken and lamb kebabs with vegetable salad and rice were excellent, very tasty, large portions. Son's vegetarian meze platter was also large, very varied and excellent. Service excellent too. Cost of almost £60.00 for 3 mains with 2 small... More

While eating the salad of my aga khan special,(carry out) there was a cigarette end in the salad, absoultely disgusting.Cant understand how there would be a cigarette in the kitchen, let alone in the salad, I certainly will never be back and will tell other potential customers.
