Description: This modern seafood restaurant is situated in one of the original sheds on the Dundee dock. So as not to disappoint, we do not have a sea view as modern buildings now occupy the water front location. The restaurant is owned and run by husband and wife team Steve and Alison Hyatt. On offer is an international style menu show-casing a blend of flavours and textures from around the world with the great produce of Scotland. We have a special offer menu available at lunch and pre-theatre £11.50 for 1 course, £15 for 2 and £18.50 for all 3 to compliment our a la carte menu which you can enjoy lunch or dinner. Children of 8 years and above are welcome.

Now closed. Just to let you know. Have filled in other fields just to return the "closed" info. I have nothing to add but need to make up the 100 words. It is a shame that the place closed as it was very good but they had moved premises a few years ago from Monifieth to City Quay in Dundee.... More

We meet up once a year with our relatives from Lancashire for lunch and chose the Blue Marlin this time. There is a very good and varied sea food choice including a steak for those who don't go for the fish. We all enjoyed our lunch in very pleasant and decorous surroundings as it was not too busy while we... More

Another lovely meal at the Blue Marlin. The pre-theatre and lunch menus are great value and everything is so tasty.A must if you love seafood.

Sadly this restaurant is now closed. Once again the local authority members totally ignore the efforts of individuals to keep a business open and people in employment. Hopefully the much trumpeted 'Waterfront' will be more successful than the previously trumpeted 'City Quay'

We were a bit hesitant about going in as it looked very empty being the night of the referendum but we were attracted by the special menu before 7 pm which proved to be exceptionally good value. We were greeted with a warm welcome and service throughout the evening was spot on - attentive, friendly but not overly intrusive. We... More

This was a punt on a rainy day in Dundee, a late lunch not planned. Don't be put off by the location or the John Lewis bathroom style, the staff were engaging and positively helpful, the lunch menu simple and straightforward. Ever been to a restaurant with a michelin starred chef who is on his holidays, normally a nightmare unless... More

Great food and excellent service. I like to be left to enjoy my meal. The head waitress/ owner was a bit intrusive.

We were visiting for one evening on the way to Edinburgh tomorrow. Our B&B recommended this place, which we enjoyed. We shared their shrimp appetizer and sea bass main course. Both were excellent. Service was a bit slow at the end of the night, but other than that it was a very nice meal and well-lit, spacious ambience.
