Sky Rockets in Flight - Afternoon Delight

Forget the 'plastic' coffee shops in a Broughy Ferry and make for Jessie's Kitchen. Just two minutes out of the centre of Broughty Ferry with plenty free parking, I had a business meeting amid the rustic setting that is Jessie's. On this lovely sunny day, I was shown through to the East room which... read more

Went to Jessie's kitchen with my mum and brother for afternoon tea (didn't book). We had not been to Jessie's for a while and we're glad to see the cleanliness of the place had improved! However afternoon tea was average for £12 per head. We got the same tea as the standard menu but in China cups. We got to... More

Perfect place to relax with friends. Fast efficient service, excellent breakfast and could not resist the delicious cakes. It's a real benefit having the garden center with fruit and veg shop too. A wee goldmine. Booking essential . They have this business down to a T.

I liked it here. The service was fast and friendly. Place was packed and quite noisy and pleasingly had a very mixed clientele, not simply pensioners who lunch which was really good to see. Sandwich and baked potato portions were a good size and no-one went hungry. The mug of soup as an addition to the sandwich is a good... More

Friends had recommended we visit Jessie's Kitchen whilst visiting the area. Wow. Loved it. The staff are so helpful and the lunch was delicious. But the cakes....the cakes. I'd drive a distance to sample those delights again and a huge gluten free selection. Congratulations on a fabulous establishment.

40 minute wait for a cup of tea and a cake. Food mediocre at best, seem to be resting on past glory. Not value for money. Thanks but no thanks.

Visited today for a coffee and cake with my husband, daughter and my parents. Booked our table the day before so we were seated straight away. We were asked for our order before we had a chance to look at the cake cabinets so we asked if the waitress could give us a few more minutes but ended up waiting... More

Have been a few times and while the service, surroundings and food is good (but very small portions) and the cakes are delicious, it is now far too expensive. I think they need to lower their prices to avoid losing regular customers.

Made a short detour to find this place when passing through Dundee at the weekend and I'm really glad we did.My wife has been looking at their pictures on Instagram after a friend recommended them and we were really curious to have a look in person. Turned up unannounced at lunchtime and the place was really busy and lively, met... More

Firstly the food was ok, nothing outstanding, loved the decor and the quirky little touches. However we were seated in the children's area, we asked how long for a grown ups table and were told 5-10 minutes. We then asked again especially as noisy kids came in and the waitress nodded. Our food then came and we were forgotten about.... More
