Have visited 3 times now and Sol y Sombra is easily the best tapas place I've ever been in. The staff are knowledgeable, food is fresh, hot & very tasty. All in all a great night, we will be back! X

Great team in the tapas bar, great food, generous drinks, fantastic atmosphere and all in all a great night out. Highly recommend this for anyone who is not a fussy eater, as it is a set menu, however, there is something for everyone included.

A return visit to this small restaurant in Broughty Ferry confirmed our impression that its No.1 slot is justified. On a Wednesday evening it was completely full with groups and couples making enough noise to make it hard to hear the waiter’s explanations of what our meal involved. The set menu consisted of various small dishes contained beautifully prepared cold... More

A pre booked Sunday lunch for a small family gathering of 7. Service as with our first visit was outstanding, every dish was accompanied by a detailed explanation. There were no gaps between the courses and the cuisine really is outstanding. Thank you for another excellent meal, we will return!

This place is fantastic. I've been on numerous times. The service is always fantastic, the food always great and everyone I have been there with doesn't have a bad word to say about it! Make sure to book a reservation in advance!

We had the best tapas we have eaten in the uk. Well worth a visit if you are in the area or even make a detour. Very friendly service. Good value.

Had lunch here after reading the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. The lunch is a set menu and at £14.95 is still excellent value. We were served with snacks initially, then cold tapas then hot tapas. Each dish was explained by the waiter as he served it. The food was excellent and we will certainly be back. Highly recommended.

Put simply, this is by far the best tapas restaurant I have ever visited. The set menu idea is great and takes away the need for any panic of the unknown over cautious food decisions! The friendly and informative service (waiter takes the time to explain every dish as it is served) is only overshadowed by the food itself which... More
