I was here for the first time last night and the food is delicious! Everything was so fresh and full of flavour. The wait staff explained what everything was and attended to our needs. My friend is a vegetarian so they brought her out a huge variety of things to eat which was all delicious. The only downfall was the... More

Now called Sol Y Sombra. Same great restaruantThis tapas bar is the real deal. The food was just unbelievable. The servers were knowledgeable and explained every dish, what was in it, the region of origin, etc. Our kids (15, 13, 12, 5) dug in like the adults. The atmosphere was very nice as well--restaurant upstairs, bar downstairs. We were there... More

We ate here yesterday and brought two other couples who had not been before. We were out for the day and wanted to start with a very good meal. The food was again very good indeed though I noticed they have omitted the Meatballs from the variety of Tapas given. We had two bottles of the Torres red wine and... More

If visiting Dundee or Broughty Ferry you really must visit here. Make sure you go hungry! I get so excited when I go here as you don't know what you are going to get. No menu, you are asked if there is anything you don't like (we like everything) and it's like Christmas! Each dish is well explained by knowledgable... More

On a recent short break to Broughty Ferry we stumbled upon The Tapas Bar but hadn't booked and decided to sit and eat at the bar. We popped my 90year old dad on the chair and introduced him to Tapas at its finest. Fantastic food, wonderful wine and great company. Such a fun night I think dad's dumped the mince... More

The food is amazing! We didn't realise it was a set menu and just stumbled across this place. We are all quite fussy but it wasn't a problem at all! We loved the food, such a quirky wee place, will definitely be back!

What a fantastic restaurant. Food was out of this world, the staff were professional and funny. It's an extremely popular restaurant - and for good reason - so make sure you book in advance.

Amazingly good food, great price. It was like stepping into Spain - better than the Tapas I have had in Madrid. Thoroughly recommend the food and staff were excellent
