Popped in early evening as we heard it was popular. Mine Host wasn't interested in serving us though there were lots of spare tables and we only wanted a quick one courser. He obviously doesn't need passing trade and doesn't need to be pleasant to new trade. Went to The Ship and had a delicious meal with friendly service!

Unfortunately our booking had somehow got mixed up for the wrong date, I'd booked this well in advance with friends coming up from England, planning our dates specifically round the availability at this restaurant so this could have been a disaster. It's easy to provide good service when everything is going to plan but excellent service really becomes apparent when... More

Came back after some years -and change of management I think- and its all for the best. The décor has changed to a more cozy look, still a very small and welcoming place. You are received with a smile and explained really well about the food choice. It was the lunch menu and to be honest is very generous. Starting... More

I don't often write a review, but felt I must after today's experience at The Tapas Bar. I have eaten here several times with my husband but today was a group of 8...a family reunion of sorts. The meals are always delightful. Interesting, changing and very very tasty. With a larger group I was concerned that it might be difficult,... More

From the moment you walk in, the feel of the place is spot on, seating is nice and informal with a great Spanish decor to match. Phil (one of the owners) greets you like a friend and takes time to seat you, from here on in you might as well be in Spain, the staff are Spanish and have all... More

Best Tapas in Dundee. Authentic food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Much better than Gracies in B/Ferry and Catalana in Dundee city centre.

The food is lovely...the staff are lovely and very informative explaining what everything is as there is no set menu. i have already booked to return at Xmas with workmates as everyone loved it last year and my boss who has coeliac disease and doesn't eat out often was... Booked a table here after hearing the rave reviews. Four of us went (two of which had travelled from the borders) and the amount of food we were served would have fed more! It was amazing. Every new item was better than the last. The staff are lovely and attentive. Each dish is explained including the region of spain it... More

This restaurant had been recommended to me and we went on Tuesday for lunch. The tapas were wonderful. Every single dish was carefully explained by the charming Spanish waiter. Perfectly cooked and served, am planning to return very soon and will recommend to all.
