Although I live in the ferry I went here for the first time about 2 months ago with friends and loved it so much I went back on Monday 28 July with three friends one visiting from Jersey. We had a lovely meal, good service and overall a really nice experience. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone even if... More

Known as The Tapas Bar however officially named Sol Y Sombra Tapas Bar. The owners have steadily but surely transformed what was a traditional local pub in to what is now a stylish and sophisticated venue providing a lovely setting for even more lovely authentic spanish food. First class ingredients, expertly prepared and presented, complimented further by front of house... More

At 19.95 pound set price the food was ample and great tasting. It was as good as you would get in Spain. Drinks were also reasonably priced. The service by staff was very friendly and they explained each course and its origins.

I was here on Friday night with three more friends -my second time- and I even though it was SO busy I enjoyed it very much. Starting from the staff who in spite of having a full restaurant was able to serve in a delightful and effective way to the outstanding food they served us. They ask you about dietary... More

I had great expectations for this place, especially after reading on trio advisor that it was supposedly the best restaurant in Dundee, and as a native dundonian living down south I was quite excited to see what it had to offer. It started pretty well. Very friendly staff, food was brought quickly and tasted delicious. We were there quite early... More

I for one will not be frequenting this restaurant again after my friends and I were asked to "keep the noise down" by one of the waiting staff. I could understand if there had been a large group of us, but only 4, and with the restaurant full we had to fight to be heard over the other tables. I... More

My fourth time visiting and still, this place ticks all the boxes! Service is impeccable with friendly waiters explaining each beautiful and delicious dish as it comes out. Great sangria and would recommend trying the ham they have on offer!! At just under 15 pounds a head for the luch menu, the price is not bad at all! We will... More

Decided to spend the day in Broughty Ferry and found one of the most pleasant dining experiences we have enjoyed in a long time. The small and cosy upstairs restaurant had a warm and relaxed feel and the service was prompt and friendly. The food, from the complimentary olives and nuts, through the fantastic number of dishes contained in the... More
