I had lunch at Bruach after being attracted by the outstanding special offers that the restaurant has. I opted for the pulled pork burger and it certainly did not disappoint, one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. I would heavily recommend and will be going back for more!

I'm not from the local area, so after a long walk along the beach I was looking forward to a good meal. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a good restaurant, and they were very attentive. The waitress was extremely helpful in explaining all the gluten free options available. I really enjoyed the fully gluten free braised pork belly... More

What a great evening! From the cocktails made by the friendly bar tender to the meal and the music...it really was a special evening! Even better that there was gluten free options too! Poached salmon was awesome! The atmosphere was great and really nice to go downstairs to the bar area after dinner and enjoy some more cocktails! Was super... More

Visited with three colleagues after an exhausting day at work and was relieved to find ourselves seated promptly in the comfortable setting of the upstairs restaurant. We mentioned to the waitress that we were quite hungry and she said she would liaise with the chef to see what he could do. To our delight our food was delivered rapidly, despite... More

Disappointing lunch. Mediterranean soup ok, goats cheese salad VERY. minimalistic, mains too - chicken thigh not a chicken thigh and very stringy. £8.00 for a bowl of soup and some mashed potato not good value. Staff response of 'we'll tell the chef and will be better on your next visit' won't be ringing me back. Interior decoration sad with light... More

The restaurant is above (and open plan to) a very noisy bar and on a busy Friday night we had to shout to one another to make ourselves heard even at the "quietest" table. It's a very limited menu and my hake was dry and tasteless, the white wine was warm and coffee came with a little jug of lumpy... More

This was my first trip to Dundee for work and by pure chance I found myself staying in Broughty Ferry. Not knowing the area, we looked in at several places to eat and decided that the Bruach menu looked interesting. It was a Wednesday night and we had not booked but there was no problem. The friendly waitress on the... More

Our first time at this bar and I personally won't be back. The service and manners of staff were disgraceful waited around 15-20 mins to be served, bar was not that busy, no acknowledgement from any staff. Our group of 3 were then asked to move away from the bar as it was getting busy, why have stools at the... More

We were very surprised to read the comments in your review and do not feel that this review reflects the events and may be a little exaggerated. I was personally serving behind the bar on the night in question, and know that I spoke to yourselves shortly after you arrived to say that I would serve you as soon as... More

Despite rave reviews from friends I found the veggie menu disappointing , one choice ,gnocchi with uninspired vegetables ,and desert panna cotta with uninspired rhubarb. The bar is lively and cocktails lovely ,and perhaps after a few drinks the food would have seemed better. Will not bother going back, far better choices elsewhere.
