Brodies comes in disguise. It is in a corner of the town. The outside is understated. Inside the decor is relaxing yet trendy. Whoever thought about how to design this place knows what they are doing. We had dinner one evening which was priced but worth every penny. We also visited twice for lunch/ brunch which was excellent value to... More

Enjoyed afternoon coffee. Then went back for friday steak night. 2 sirloins & bottle of wine for £35. Loved the decor & atmosphere. Owners & staff friendly & helpful. Great selection of gin though I don't drink it so Danni recommended a lovely strawberry whisky which was lovely. Definitely recommend this restaurant

We reserved a table for six on a cold, wet night and were greeted by the charming lady owner who provided excellent service throughout our superb meal. The steaks were first-class and the house red wine went down very well. Ambiance was lovely and the soft background music was just right to enable us all to speak and socialise easily.... More

We were in Moffat on a snowy evening having broken our journey home to escape the worsening weather. Brodies was fully booked, but they found us a space in the end. After a delicious Blackwoods gin & tonic we sat down for the nicest meal of out of our time in Scotland. Between us we had beef and pheasant, both... More

There are comfortable sitting areas with sofas and armchairs to relax for either coffee and cakes or pre-dinner drinks. The owners have exceptional attention to detail and will ensure that you have a first class experience.... More

We had a lovely quick lunch stop here on our way further north. The restaurant is very modern and beautifully decorated- we were very comfortable too as it was warm and welcoming on a damp grey day. Delicious wine and food, the soup and fish cakes were particularly good. Will definitely return to Moffat and this lovely place.

Late afternoon on a wet December Monday, and the last thing you would expect to find in Moffat is such a fabulous restaurant. We were recommended by the lady in the Oxfam charity shop, and she was so right. Obviously there were not many customers at 3pm, but nevertheless a lovely ambience, a great feel good factor and the welcome... More
