Stayed on the local campsite and was actually going to go for a pub meal when we found this little gem. We ate the early bird menu which was great value. Service was good and everything spot on. Will definitely go again if round this area. highly recommended!

On a long journey from the north of Scotland down to Yorkshire, we were in need of a break and a meal, came off the motorway at Moffat. What a charming little town. We drove around looking for a place to eat and spied Brodies, it looked interesting an inviting. We were welcomed by friendly staff, to a comfortable seating... More

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea today. Good selection of sandwiches and cakes including meringues and jam and cream scones. Plenty of tea and good service.

We enjoyed an excellent meal at Brodies of Moffat. The Spinach Roulade with Smoked Trout starter was outstanding and the Oven Roasted Duck with Braised Red Cabbage and Pak Choi was a triumph. Desserts were tasty but not in the same league as the other courses. Service was also excellent and even though we ate on a quiet Wednesday night,... More

We have stayed in Moffat a number of times but this was our first visit to Brodies. We booked in advance, which was just as well at it was extremely busy when we arrived at 7.30 on a Thursday. Our table wasn't ready so we were shown to a seating area at the back and offered a drink. There were... More

We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant with a smile, and offered a drink whilst we looked over the menu in the lounge area. The order was taken and we were taken to our table when it was ready. The food was excellent, and very nicely presented. The standard of cooking here is high. Will return next... More

We did a 60 mile round trip to Brodies, and it was well worth it. As a vegetarian, I was impressed with 3 choices. Usually it's take it or leave it. My husband, the carnivore, was also impressed with the choice. The food was excellent quality. I had the mushroom and spinach spring roll and the pastry was the lightest... More

We just wanted a nice coffee in attractive surroundings and this was it. Brodies is a smart, comfortable and attractive place with a nice atmosphere and great for our mid-afternoon cappuccino. Friendly service and you can usually park on the street outside.

The owner of our B&B recommended Brodies to us and we are glad we took his recommendation. The restaurant was busy but we were warmly welcomed even without a reservation. We were given the option of a table at the rear or to return later as the kitchen had just been given many orders. How good to be told there... More
