We have been to the Galloway Lodge on many occasions and never been let down by the friendly service or the quality food and drinks. If you go please try their hot chocolate. My husband and I think it is the best we have ever had and when we return from holiday in Dumfries and Galloway we always stop and... More

Just had coffee on a Sunday morning but the place was filling up at lunchtime and seemed to be a popular haunt for tourists and locals alike. You can buy a paper in the shop downstairs and relax as we did over top quality coffee - the best we tasted on our week's holiday. Looked like a great selection of... More

Tried the breakfast, very nice. Nice menu choice and great cake selection. Nice gift area selling jams and chutneys etc. Would recommend.

With very few places open on a Sunday in February this place is very busy all day. The food is lovely, slightly higher priced than some places, staff are very friendly and it has a great little gift shop attached.

Cheese and Chives Scones - LUSH! As regular visitors to Galloway Lodge, the staff know my weakness for cheese scones and when they are 'on' I am never disappointed, However, the appearance of the Cheese and Chives scone made my day! Saturday is THE day for cheese scones for devotees out there. Coffee is consistent, the staff are just wonderful,... More

We were very disappointed with the food we received yesterday. The Lasange was overlooked and very dry. Almost inedible. The other food was undercooked we did not eat it. Friendly service. Would not visit again.

One of the best "Light Lunches" I've ever had. I had the Club Sandwich and it was delicious. The service is prompt; friendly & efficient. The atmosphere is relaxed and interesting with all the arts & crafts around (It is also a gallery & shop). The ingredients are local, which means fresh & good. I cannot recommend this place highly...
