We always start our festive day out with a visit to the Globe Inn and once again we were not disappointed. The atmosphere and hospitality were very good and we look forward to our visit next year.

This is the sort of place where customers are a nuisance. How dare we interrupt the bar tenders lunch, at lunchtime? Food service was prompt, but sadly the food lacking in quality. Beer lines obviously do not get cleaned. Tasted dirty, then spotted lovely brown lumps in the bottom of the glass. Not recommended unless you're interested in Burns, even... More

We had a lovely visit to the Globe Inn. We had bar food which was well cooked, fresh and nicely presented. Very good value for money. We actually ate in the room that Robert Burns would have sat in. Staff were very friendly Staff were also more than happy to show us round and tell us some of the history... More

Dropped into the Globe Inn for a pint of cider and a brief communion with the ghost of Robbie Burns during the World Cup playoffs and found myself nearly alone in the lounge with the fabulous musical group, Bogle Mufty (apologies if I've spelled that wrong). I stayed for nearly four hours and was thoroughly entertained by their at times... More

A historic gem tucked away off the High Street. Lovely JaneBrown gave us a personal tour of the etched windows upstairs. She is an ambassador for all things Robert Burns and an absolute delight to speak with. Thank you so much Jane for your warm hospitality.

We visited the Globe Inn and were fortunate enough to have Jane Brown working behind the bar. Jane is the president of the Robert Burns World Federation and gave us a tour of Robert Burns room and desk where he wrote his poetry. We had a couple of meals at the pub and found the staff welcoming and the food... More
