This was a double whammy for us as I wanted to visit the Burns Centre, and we both wanted to visit the Hullabaloo restaurant attached to it. We did experience quite a bit of difficulty finding the Burns Centre to start with, we followed the signs through Dumfries, crossed the bridge and then lost them, ended up emerging on the... More

My wife and I decided to visit Hullabaloo before going next door to see " The Inbetweeners" movie. It was our very 1st time at the Burns Centre and certainly won't be our last! The restaurant is situated upstairs which might not suit people with walking difficulties. However the view of the River Nith is superb and I loved watching... More

Came here on Wednesday night with hubby for anniversary meal - and again on Saturday with a friend. Both times the food was excellent - not the run of the mill menus you get in most other restaurants in town. On both occasions the restaurant was really busy - which speaks volumes as well. Would definitely recommend.

We ate here last week, we chose from the early evening menu which was good value £12.95 for 2 courses either starter and main or main and sweet, I had creamy fish pie with summer veg, it was a large portion and was unable to eat my sweet, my husband had a homemade burger and finished with Lemon meringue sundae,... Went here as a drop-in after reading some other reviews. It has a very pan-mediterranean menu with a casual dining feel. Service was friendly, efficient and accommodating despite only a single waitress on duty when we visited. She was kept busy with a dumb waiter buzzing frequently with fresh food from the downstairs kitchen. Food was very good 4/5. We... More

We ate here a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed with the Mediterranean-style food, friendly, efficient service, relaxed atmosphere and fine location by the river in Dumfries. I totally recommend it.

We ate off the early bird menu. Food was excellent, service was great and very welcoming. Lovely with children age 2&8 ; they were most impressed with the giant bowl of jelly beans instead of mints upon leaving. Altogether pleasant visit :))

We ate at Hullabaloo tonight, which we both agreed was the best meal we EVER remember having. The flavours were imaginative an awesome . We both ate off the Specials menu - though it was hard to choose from all the different menus - as everything sounded lovely. He had the SearedDuck with forgaged blackberry and cointrea sauce- served with... More
