Even though we were an hour late due to being stuck behind a freight train, they kept our table for us with no problem. We started with a glass of prosecco (very reasonably priced at £3.50 a glass) because we were so relieved to get there. One of the dishes we wished to order was not on the menu, because... More

This place is so expensive and we weren't made to feel welcome, the waitress couldn't subtract 8 from 10 which really surprised me, wasn't happy with the service or the prices

Went for lunch and despite being a vegetarian I struggled to choose as there were so many options. We shared a starter and had a main each and I struggled to finish it all. Both courses were fresh and absolutely delicious. So nice to have something abit unusual in dumfries. Would highly recommend and as a regular visitor this visit... More

There seems to be growing confusion about what is and isn’t allowed when it comes to the safe preparation and cooking of burgers with many people being under the impression that minced beef is completely safe and so long as you source your meat well there is no risk to the public. This viewpoint is not shared by environmental health... More

This was a double whammy for us as I wanted to visit the Burns Centre, and we both wanted to visit the Hullabaloo restaurant attached to it. We did experience quite a bit of difficulty finding the Burns Centre to start with, we followed the signs through Dumfries, crossed the bridge and then lost them, ended up emerging on the... More

My wife and I decided to visit Hullabaloo before going next door to see " The Inbetweeners" movie. It was our very 1st time at the Burns Centre and certainly won't be our last! The restaurant is situated upstairs which might not suit people with walking difficulties. However the view of the River Nith is superb and I loved watching... More

Came here on Wednesday night with hubby for anniversary meal - and again on Saturday with a friend. Both times the food was excellent - not the run of the mill menus you get in most other restaurants in town. On both occasions the restaurant was really busy - which speaks volumes as well. Would definitely recommend.

We ate here last week, we chose from the early evening menu which was good value £12.95 for 2 courses either starter and main or main and sweet, I had creamy fish pie with summer veg, it was a large portion and was unable to eat my sweet, my husband had a homemade burger and finished with Lemon meringue sundae,... Went here as a drop-in after reading some other reviews. It has a very pan-mediterranean menu with a casual dining feel. Service was friendly, efficient and accommodating despite only a single waitress on duty when we visited. She was kept busy with a dumb waiter buzzing frequently with fresh food from the downstairs kitchen. Food was very good 4/5. We... More
