What is it with Belhaven pubs???

This really was a hit and miss experience, but, unfortunately more miss than hit! Had reserved table, told them we had arrived, found table, and waited, and waited. After 30 minutes, Went to ask at bar why had not had order taken. Turns out you order and pay BEFORE eating. That never really ends... read more

On Monday by special invitation , the manager had invited us to taste the new menu . It was absolutely gorgeous and because it was a sample of different meals , you had lots to taste . The starters and the mains were fantastic . I'll now be trying something different from the menu . Service was very good. Thank... More

Average quality average service when the restaurant was not that busy. Best not to go when a football match is showing a bit noisy then the DJ starts after that and must think we are all deaf.

Went in for an early lunch / brunch at 11.30 as had been up since 5. It was very quite as you might expect. However, there was a serious amount of staff who had been cleaning and preparing the stock etc. This is an advantage of using chains the staffing levels are usually set at a decent level. Food was... Been here loads of times lunch and evening, usually a good choice of food here, but how it's cooked can be a hit or a miss. Maybe to do with chef on at the time. Generally an enjoyable visit here, and quite relaxed atmosphere. Great for family's with children, with special offers on holiday periods. Would recommend

We came in for a few drinks but after HALF AN HOUR of jostling at the bar, still no service. We just walked out and went to The Bobbing John which was cheaper, and a much nicer environment,

Tonight we had a massive family event, family coming from over seas...Spain, Portugal...family travelling from North of scotland. 16 people left the event in 4 taxis...2 taxis arriving at 12:30 and 2 taxis arriving around 12:35. All persons travelling that arrived at 12:35 were not allowed to enter. Totally ruined our night, we tried to call whilst we were outside... More

We were a party of 16 who were recommended to the Old Brewery for a late lunchtime snack on Friday 27th March. The space was light, airy and pleasant, and our food order was prepared and served with minimal waiting time (although it has to be said the pub was not busy at that time of day). Lovely surroundings, good... More

My daughters took me to the Old Brewery with a friend visiting from abroad and although the food was good and well and promptly served, I found the noise intolerable, especially as we wanted to 'catch up' with my friend but had to shout over the music and chatter from other diners. I think it was just the wrong venue... More

Don't expect anything other than the usual Pub Grub Menu but also don't expect the usual pub service and quality. The food was very good and the service was attentive and polite without being intrusive, i took my Wife and Daughter here for a "bite to eat" and we all commented on the service and food. Yes it is Pub... More
