A must for any chocolate lovers!

If you love proper chocolate, you will love Cocoa Black. No, it's not cheap, but the chocolate is amazing. It's not the biggest of cafes, so it does get very busy, but it's worth it. They have some unusual flavours too - and their chocolate Lego is a clever and great idea for a birthday present.

Lovely coffee and cake but visit was spoiled by patronising staff when ordering. Don't speak to customers as if they were toddlers, end of.

Well worth a visit, by far the most enjoyable coffee experience in Peebles. Staff are truly wonderful and since they got new furniture the places vibe has improved greatly! 10/10 . I recommend this to anybody, you get what you pay for!

Beautifully presented, delicate little artworks of chocolate. A good place to go for a special naughty treat. Too rich_looking for me.

It looked so lovely from outside but felt very cold and clinical inside. Coffee was nice and a good choice of cakes. I would have liked the Black Forest Gateau but my hubbie picked the wrong one and I ended up with a fudge cake which I thought was very heavy and I did not like it very much. A... More

Stopped in Peebles for lunch at Cocoa Black café last week. Good coffee & sandwich, and exceptionally delicious and beautiful cakes. Evidently made with care, love and the very best ingredients. Brought a boxful home to share. Cake prices very reasonable - compare them with the price of a muffin or traybake from a big-brand coffee-shop chain.

Great selection of cakes and chocolate, it's heaven for a chocolate lover! It's a small shop which can get really busy, so is therefore rather noisy. It's not a place to go for a relaxing coffee, unless you go early in the morning. However, the chocolate makes up for it!!!!

Lovely shop and great cafe. The hot chocolate is amazing and they made a vegan hot chocolate (soya and dark chocolate) which I would recommend. The chocolate is also very good, not cheap but well worth buying

I am not a choc a holic but went with a friend who loves choc. It was a wet day and the place was packed so was lucky to get a seat. All the chocolates were highly polished and tidy. I like things rough around the edges. Had something sweet and sticky. The coffee is lush best I have had... More
