Fish is freshly cooked to order, batter was light and crispy. I had salad instead instead of chips and it was lovely and contained many different items. I'd suggest staff explain to customers that the fish is cooked to order and therefore there may be 10 minute wait.

Busy as usual. Great fish and chips at great prices. No frills and never any complaints from my family and friends.

Me and my partner sat in for an evening meal at Jim jacks. I ordered fishcake and chips and my partner ordered burger and chips. All the food was fresh and service was very good, only down side was the burger was a little dry but everything else spot on. Great prices too.

Popped in for lunch and was suitably impressed with the fish and chips, excellent value with beans, slice of bread and butter and can of coke for just over £8. Decent piece of fish but never knew until I read the reviews how many seem to think it's "the best". It's not bad but would be hard pressed to say... More

Visited several times and the quality of food is always excellent. Often very busy but worth the wait as everything is cooked fresh. The staff are smart, efficient and friendly giving the shop a family feel, always chatty and interested, cheering me up on a bad day. Well worth a visit as it is by far the best in the... More

Had haggis supper, sausage supper, hamburger roll with curry sauce. The food good, batter was lovely but a bit greasy that let it down and a long wait time. Curry sauce was rubbish, sickly sweet.

Sit in or take away. Great fish, scampi, mushy peas etc. Kids portions. Friendly staff, swift service. Best in town and a kids fave for sitting in special treats.

Freshly cooked, great chips, worth a visit! Difficult to park, but worth the effort. There is also a sit in restaurant as well as a takeaway and prices are very reasonable.

Excellent 'fish and chip' shop but with extensive choice..can't say anything about other dishes as I find the traditional Scottish haddock and chips so good I give other offerings a miss. All cooking is done to order.. The sit in restaurant well patronised...no wonder!! Only downside is closing time about 9.30ish.

Came across this fish and chip shop with a small restaurant attached last time we visited Peebles, and had an inexpensive meal then. Revisited earlier this month and once again were not disappointed, the standard has not dropped. The meal was very good value (fish, chips mushy peas, pot of tea and bread all for £8.50) obviously freshly cooked to... More
