Lovely food, lovely wines, very comfortable oldy-worldy surroundings, the French Maitre-d and his humour, the waiting staff were all outstanding. Great hospitality at a reasonable cost.

As part of our terrific all in deal at the Dryburgh House Hotel we were given the opportunity to eat in the Tweed restaurant. Firstly you have to dress properly which in my opinion adds greatly to the ambiance of any decent place, lazing around in jeans and Tshirts is not a smart look. Secondly the front of house team... The title says it all. The food was very good and the service couldn't have been better. The maître d was particularly attentive and the ambience of the restaurant was lovely, especially the excellent views over the Tweed.

Only had breakfast in here as dogs are not allowed. Good idea as not everyone animals around when eating. Same menu in evening as bistro so we ate downstairs.

One great dinner and two superb Scottish breakfasts. I had venison at dinner, which was really excellent. Others raved about their steak pie, steaks and sea bass. All tasted fresh and was well presented. Breakfasts were hearty with lots of choice and a good cold buffet table.

Our first night we clashed with a wedding party. This challenged the staff and we gave up after waiting for a dessert menu! The food was adequate but not memorable. A roast beef dinner came pre plated in a soup dish and two easy over breakfast eggs could have been used as musket balls.
