Really good hearty food for a cold autumn day, the veggie chilli was probably one of the best I have had in a restaurant and the chickpea soup of the day was also pretty good aswell. Well worth visiting this unusual cafe tucked away in a side street if you are in Hawick.

Love this little quirky cafe! It's so relaxed, good cafe and good food. What more do you need. You can have a quiet seat and read one of the books from their wide and diverse collection. So nice !

Slightly tucked away but well worth looking for! Friendly staff, fantastic coffee ( with hot milk) and an exceedingly scrumptious piece of chocolate cake xx

Arrived to friendly enough welcome, although the table we sat at hadn't been cleaned unfortunately. Went up and ordered, ordered a cola and the salmon salad, which came quickly. Although the girl serving seemed very anxious and in- experienced, which is OK if you're friendly about it but she didn't say anything just put things down. The glass for my... More

Had an afternoon coffee and cake at the end of a day of cycling part of the Border Loop. Both the coffee (cappuccino) and carrot cake were excellent, and there was also a good selection of second hand books to look at and buy if you wished. It was the only cafe of its sort that we found in Hawick.

A great atmosphere and fantastic food. Went in for lunch on Saturday and got a pastrami and cheese bagel - just phenomenal! The coffee was excellent too. Can't recommend enough!

Just enjoyed a lovely lunch here- very tasty food, interesting food and drinks menu and the coffee shop itself is cosy and quaint with lots of second hand books to browse. Really enjoyed my pastrami special bagel. We will definitely be back!
