Booked ahead and was met on arrival by a friendly waitress who was great with the kids we brought with us. Food arrived just on time and the portions were generous and the vegetables were cooked for me to perfection; just the right side of crunchy with the flavours coming through. The prices for me were bang on in terms... More

Ate here twice recently. The food is as good as ever and extremely well supported by the young and very confident staff

Nice meals for adults and half portions for children. They arrange whatever you wish. So very friendly and hospital. Don't forget a desert, because these are delicious!

The hotel is a lovely red sandstone building with lots of original features and the bar where we had lunch had lots of nooks and crannies. the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu offered basic pub grub and although well cooked I think the food was overpriced. our dessert was £4.95 again overpriced for the area and although... More

Started going back to this venue after a couple of years away as we felt it had deteriorated, however it now seems to be back up to scratch and we have recently had a couple of very nice lunches there. Good value food, especially the specials, and good service in pleasant surroundings.

Having eaten at the Kingsknowes for a few years I felt it time to write a review. The courtyard bar is dated but not dirty and the food and service put a spring in your step. The menu is similar to most establishments in the area but they seem to execute it better. The service is great, always friendly, always... More

Pleasant, but not inspiring. Feels a bit dated, but have not seen the rooms. Beautiful hallway with all sizes of function rooms, and a conservatory.
