Hadn't had a fish tea in years, decided to try the Oban bay fish & chips restaurant, glad we did, best fish tea ever. Good sized portions & value for money.

Absolutely the very best place to eat fish n chips in Oban. Sit in the window and watch the world go by. Ordered a pensioners portion which was presented with bread and butter and a cup of tea.....Superb....the fish had just the right amount of batter and the chips were lovely. Service was fast and staff were very welcoming.

Can't get fish and chips like this in the U.S! Had lunch and dinner there it was so delicious. Try the fish stew. Very generous portions at reasonable prices.

On a wee visit to Oban we stopped at this little gem for a fish tea. Staff were helpful and efficient, food was excellent, all capped off with a lovely pot of Scottish tea. We will be back!

Main drawback is that the fish was very greasy, and chips not as good as other chippies! A reasonable choice if you want to eat in, - there are others better, but if you want... More

This is a lovely restaurant, the service was great and so was the food, my only complaint was the peas were not mushy!!!!! So if you like mushy peas it's a bit of a let down, but the fish an chips were lovely,,,

Have come here for the last few years each time we go to Oban so was really looking forward to our visit, however, much to my great disappointment we must have got a bad day? The haddock was tasteless and overdone and the batter very greasy. The peas (tinned) were like bullets and the chips underdone. So very different to... More

The fish is fresh and delicious, the chips are fat and delicious! I have eaten here many times while staying at the Caledonian.
