Description: The DiCiacca family have been running successful restaurants in Oban for 3...
The DiCiacca family have been running successful restaurants in Oban for 3 generations. Onorio and Elvira first came to Oban from Picinisco, Italy in 1959 to open their first chip shop. The Family's dedication to their customers and delicious recipes with big Italian flavours, have kept the Locals and the Visitors to Oban full and happy for generations. Renato and son Antonio, continue this long line of culinary tradition with the Oban Fish Bar & Restaurant and Nories Fish & Chip shop, which is just a little further along on George Street in Oban. Being in The Seafood Capital of Scotland, The Oban Fish Bar & Restaurant offers a wide choice of Fish and Seafood to tantalise your taste buds, but for the non fish eaters amongst you, enjoy the hand cut chips, try the delicious homemade Italian dishes or give the Gourmet Burgers from the local butcher a go. Maybe you're looking for authentic handmade Stone Baked Italian Pizza's? We've got that covered as well. Renato also likes to keep up with the latest developments which means we now also offer Gluten Free batter so everyone can enjoy the DiCiacca Family's delicious dishes.

Went out for a nice meal, instead I ended up eating at this place, took ages to get served and the food was not very good.

We had a very enjoyable tasty lunch. Good service. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Good selection of fresh fish available. Reasonably priced. Good kids menu. Got very busy just after opening time at 11.30am. Recommended.

The monk fish was very nicely cooked, not impressed by the salad served with it but the batter was extremely light and tasteful, chips nice and freshly made and the tartar sauce was a nice touch on the side. Attractive menu for other dishes.

Very busy but we managed to get a table. Had to wait a while for menu as it was so busy, but once ordered food arrived quickly and was great. Daughter enjoyed the deep fried mars bar with icecream!

Was staying near Oban for a couple of days with my other half and our almost 14 year old son so went into town to find somewhere to have dinner. The lovely chippy smell from outside drew us in and we weren't disappointed. We were seated at the front of the shop and had a lovely view over the bay.... More

Lovely fish and chips. Sat outside as had the dog. Were very accommodating with our young daughter - brought us plastic fork and extra plate.
