The Kitchen Garden is a busy delicatessen and coffee shop. Our licensed coffee shop is located on a mezzanine floor which overlooks the delicatessen below. We offer freshly prepared, local, simple meals and can be busy during peak times. With regret we do not have lift access to the coffee shop but wheelchairs and buggies can be left in the deli, where the staff will keep an eye. Our deli is well stocked with several thousand lines from Scotland and beyond, with an emphasis on Scottish cheeses and whiskies.

My parents and myself were there on wednesday24th june on two occasions, morning and afternoon. The food is average but overpriced, poor lighting, alot of bulbs fused, shows a lot for the place. We went back as the coffee is lovely. On both times, there was an older waiter and a young waiter on,they seemed to have a good rapport with each other. HOWEVER,there was... More

We arrived just before 1:00 p.m. On Thursday, 25th June. The cafeteria is upstairs from a well stocked deli. At the foot of the stairs there was a notice saying 'Please wait to be shown to a table'. So we did. After five minutes a waiter came down. "Sorry but we're full. I'll have a table for you in five... More

We popped in here for lunch. Great service, lovely atmosphere & good coffee. My dad couldn't eat all his sandwiches & staff were more than happy to put them in a takeaway box for him. Lovely well stocked deli & the ladies room was beautifully clean & fresh. Very important!!

We ordered coffess and 5 bacon rolls (2 with egg) not exactly difficult! After an hour of waiting we had to ask for a refund we had a ferry to catch. Really disappointed we counted more than 6 staff working there and yet they couldn't organise 5 bacon rolls!

The food is good but the staff is amazing. This little restaurant is upstairs in a deli and all the employees are extremely friendly and helpful.

Looks empty from outside but lovely and cosy inside. Cafe/resto upstairs. Great tea options and home made sweet treats. Great deli. Good value and downtown location.

Downstairs the deli is worth visiting but only boxed commercial shortbread available..pity they are missing a chance for upselling.

Attractive deli downstairs and busy little cafe upstairs on George Street in Oban. We called in at lunchtime and struggled to find a table and whilst the coffee was great the service was pretty indifferent and the sandwiches were over priced and small for what we got - not what we were expecting and we left still feeling hungry I'm... We just stopped here for lunch on a quick trip through oban. Picked the kitchen garden because it looked nice and well priced and good for a lunch. We both had the sandwiches which were really nice, good bread and tasty fillings. All the sweet treats in the cabinets also looked lovely but we didn't try them. I'd go here... More
