The Spinnaker is a good enough restaurant with good food, very helpful staff and is well priced. The views are fantastic. The restaurant was very quiet when we visited but it was pushing on for 9pm so the rush may have been over. The only thing would be that the food is styled lack an American diner but the theme... Living fairly locally, I've walked past this place for years without actually giving it a go. We ate in here one evening recently and were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Situated upstairs, overlooking Oban bay, there is a lift available for those with pushchairs or wheelchairs. Unfortunately, there is one step to enter the building outside and adults in wheelchairs... More

The spinnaker cafe is an american themed diner (I think). All foods on the menu were american themed. The cafe had good views over Oban harbour. The waitress was very friendly (although had a slightly manic smile :) The food was good but nothing special. The cafe appeared clean and looked after. If you visit I would recommend a strawberry... A good view and a safe haven in a huge storm, but the food is rubbish and the service grumpy and minimal.

My girlfriend and I ate at this restaurant on 2/6/12 and found the service to be very good. The burgers were also really quite good but the milkshakes were mediocre as they were heavy on the milk and without substance. I think that for a restaurant that plays on the American theme then it needs a great deal more decoration... More

We stayed near Oban and went to the Spinnaker twice during our short visit. We found the food to be very tasty with large portions at a very competitive price. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. As a young family there was something for everyone and the kids really enjoyed their paninis and chips! I... More

They make their own burgers and I can honestleysay they were the best we had ever tasted. They make all their own fillings etc. A great place to take the children as staff are very friendly. The cafe has lovely views over the harbour. Prices were very reasonable.
