Had mussels and beer two days in a row. Food was great. So was the service provided by Annie and Jenny. Fun bar at night.

The quality is not at the top, still good, but prices and quantity permit to be very satisfied. Kind staff and live music.

Was in today for my lunch and as always the mussels were to die for ! Definitely the best restaurant in Oban for fresh local mussels accompanied with the fine red wine they have on offer and with this fantastic weather we enjoyed our lunch sitting out in the newly refurbished beer garden which is a little sun trap so... Called for a drink on Monday 9th June as we were staying at a hotel close by. What a shame the manager/owner has let a pub with such lovely features go to this poor level. Filthy tables, some with empty glasses and cans. Dirty floor, filthy woodwork round bar area, brass fittings, shelving on show. Pint and a half of... More

Old fashioned pub with a good choice of sea food at reasonable prices. I normally have the burger which varies from ok to excellent! Can be relied on to have Deuchars IPA on tap. Has an outside covered area with tables for smokers. Not many in Oban

Visited for lunch after reading the reviews on here. I ordered the vegetable curry as I wanted to try sweet potato in a curry and the ingredients on the menu said it was sweet potato, chickpea and spinach. The curry arrived but none of the above ingredients :( The curry I received was some courgette (not very well cooked unfortunately),... More

I had the pleasure of visiting the lorn bar on may 8th and found an excellent live band playing. the customers clearly enjoyed the music and there was a friendly feel to the place. if i was to have a gripe, the bar layout is poor. There is a large central bar that goes round the whole floor area, taking... More

We decided to have a late lunch at the Lorne as its off the front and easier to park. Having been before we knew that the food was good traditional pub fayre which fits with the surroundings as this is a traditional pub. We both had haddock and chips served with peas and garden peas and I had a diet... More
