We went in here after the Three Island Tour, we were made very welcome by Nicole and served with a lovely smile. Because of this we decided to eat here and met Declan who took our order. The meals we had were cooked beautifully with lovely crunchy chips by the chef Kris. They have on tap hand pulled real ales... More

My husband and I have just had a 3 night stay in Oban and came across this bar by chance (noticed the sign out on the main street and followed the arrow). Traditional pub with a great atmosphere. It was early (about 6.30/7.00 pm) and the bar itself was quite quiet. We were served and looked after by the lovely... More

We were looking for somewhere in Oban that allowed dogs and where we could have some seafood and this place ticked both boxes. We were not disappointed by the food which was lovely ( scallops with colcannon mash and bacon also mussels in white wine and garlic cream sauce) they were the best mussels we had tasted and everything was... This is a pub so the expectations for the food should be accordingly. We were pleased with the quality of the fish, obviously very fresh and cooked to perfection. The vegetables were just cooked, no sesoning, but this seems to be the normal thing here. They have draft Guiness. Typical relaxed pub atmosphere.

We knew we weren't going to get exquisite cuisine but the gammon looked like a rasher of bacon and the fish looked more like a battered minnow! Ordered sides that never came and got no apology when we pointed this out. Cheap but not so cheerful

Visited the Lorne bar and had early evening dinner and was not disappointed. My woman had macaroni cheese and I had chicken melt with a tiny bucket of onion rings. Both meals were delicious and the bar staff very friendly . We returned on the Saturday evening and discovered that after 10.30 pm this bar has to be Obans place... More

When't into a local pub to find a very friendly bar with good food and fantastic live entertainment at weekends, Live solo artists and bands which in some places you would pay for. Clean and tidy bar with great friendly staff. Good prices for food and drink. Just a great night out , tell your friends

Popped in for lunch today after hearing about this pub and we were not disappointed. Lovely barmaid. Menu is not extensive - but it is still winter - what was on it was fine. We chose Macaroni Cheese and it was excellent! They have a pub quiz on Wednesday evening, so we will definitely go along for that.
