This is not the U. S. chain. It is on the wharf at Oban, but there is no harbor view. We went because it offered Mediterranean food, which we hadn't had in a while. Our experience was dominated by the wait for our food. We think someone was missing in the kitchen, but we're not sure of that. Other tables... More

We popped in here for dinner on our first night in Oban. The special Langoustines were good if hard work. The pizza a bit bland. Service was good and plenty of space between tables, so room to relax. Tinny music and flat lighting detracted from the experience. The menu included both Scottish and Mediterranean dishes, but it felt more thrown... More

It was probably a mistake on our part to go with their fish and chips rather than one of their Mediterranean dishes, as our choice was served overly greasy and devoid of flavour. The staff were pleasant.

We visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago, the ambience was great, the service was great, very friendly staff, the food was first class, I had mussels then the lobster and scallop in tempura batter and my man had scottish prawns (langoustines) and the sole mornay, we could not fault it, the chef had the prawns cooked to perfection.... The restaurant is right in the centre and nicely decorated and has elbow room. The staff are efficient and friendly, but having expected mainly good Mediterranean cuisine I was somewhat disappointed by my main course pasta dish which was over creamy and somewhat over cooked - not al dente. I had a traditional Scottish soup as a starter and although... More

Came in at around 3 off the Barra Boat. Sat outside in glorious sunshine, (just as well as indoors looked gloomy). Went inside to the bar to order as no one came out. No food available at the kitchen was closed, and our drinks that we had ordered already were at a ridiculous price (£2.95 for a small sparkling water).... More

With an address worthy of the late Tony Hancock one might be forgiven for feeling slightly apprehensive. Your fears are totally unfounded. It is located handily for the Railway, the Island Ferries and the major bus services and ideal for a fine meal before, or after, travelling. The restaurant is spacious with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very... More
