I was on a day trip to Oban on a very wet Saturday. I happened upon this little Mediterranean restaurant down at the harbour are and decided to have some lunch as the lobster ravioli caught my eye on the menu outside. As I entered I noticed how quiet the place was, one other couple dining there apart from me.... More

Hidden in the back part of a complex near Oban Ferry Terminal is the Olive Garden - not too visible, but well advertised. It gives the impression of a large chain restaurant, and looks a little run down, but the food and service say otherwise. My wife needs wheat free food. The menu states that this can be provided, making... More

My husband and I went here for a special meal for our honeymoon in Oban. The interior was very cosy and peaceful (quite nice and romantic for a honeymoon meal). The waitress brought over some nice mediteranean appetisers while we were making our choices (they were tasty and a nice touch). My husband chose the paperdelle olive garden, and said... More

We ate here mainly because we saw a poster giving details of a two for one on mains. The offer finishes at 7:30pm. Inside, the restaurant is modern and warm. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We chose calzone with a bolognaise filling. This was accompanied by home cooked chips which we shared. It was all delicious and more so because... More

Visit Oban every year and had been warned off this restaurant but decided to see for ourselves. We were early for dinner and it was quiet. It took a while to be served and I had to send back the diet coke flavoured with cleaning liquid, however, the meal was delicious, calzone followed by a shared lemon cheesecake. It was... More

Despite having lived here in Oban for 17 years, we had never tried this restaurant on the south pier of town but today we gave it a first go for lunch and were greatly impressed. We had our own selection of Spanish tapas, patatas bravas, mini-pizza pepperoni, chicken wings and chorizo, mushrooms in garlic butter, mozzarella and tomato on toasted... More

I've been here once with a couple of friends when they were doing 50% discounted tapas at some time in the Winter. Never felt any great urge to go back but decided to try their Sunday carvery last weekend with a family party of eight in total of all ages. The starters are available from a large refrigerated trolley. They... More
