Decent!

Good restaurant a little further out on Oban’s waterfront, serving conventional, traditional dishes and seafood. We popped in as a couple for a dinner on a special occasion and it was great for an unfussy, quality meal without being particularly exciting. The decor is a bit of a subtle mix of... read more

We popped in as a couple for a dinner on a special occasion and it was great for an unfussy, quality meal without being particularly exciting. The decor is a bit of a subtle mix of hunting lodge and nautical, but is basically warm and... More

We really enjoyed our food and presentation. We will certainly return. We would recommend eating here. The Staff are very friendly also and keep you informed which makes a difference when eating out.

I had the oysters to start and they were lovely and fresh. I really enjoyed my chowder main course. My partner said his steak main course was very good, although not top notch, and was a very plentiful portion. My son, who is a chef, enjoyed the langoustine starter but was not so keen on the scallop main. The service... More

Great choice of food and breakfast was served to you, the 6 course tasting menu was varied and if you were on a DBB break and didn't like anything on this menu, you could choose something off the a la carte at half price. The eggs Benedict for breakfast were amazing

service is fantastic, food lovely. it is quite fancy, we are plain eaters whereas the taster menu we had (for us) was quite posh. broccolli and blue cheese quiche, venison, cullen skink, scallops, pancetta, etc etc. we had our breakfast as well, fantastic selection to choose from. we had cinnamon french toast with bacon and maple syrup, tea and toast.... The six course taster menu is fantastic. You will be doing well to get to the end of this but it is worth trying. The breakfast is the best choice menu I have seen.

This is the Oban Bay Hotel restaurant where we had dinner on two of the nights of our 3 night break. The 6 course taster menu was lovely and adequate for older folk like us. Second night we had the main course from the ala carte menu and the portion size was huge. We paid the small supplementary charge. Only... More

We were staying in the hotel so are in the restaurant on the first night. The service was good; friendly and attentive staff and the good was delicious - we both had the sirloin steak as a main, my boyfriend ordered pepper sauce and didn't touch it because the meat was so perfectly cooked. Would stay in the hotel and... More
