Popped in for a quick lunch - the poster with a poster of mussels drew us in. Very elegantly interior, delicious mussels, the poached egg and black pudding brioche excellent, the haddock and chips mains faultless. The price of £14.95 each for the set 2 course lunch was a couple of pounds over the top given that we were the... More

Researched for a good restaurant in Oban on Trip Advisor and you came up trumps again. Booked for Sat lunch time but actually there was no need as surprisingly it was very quiet. Admittedly it was a little pricey but given the food, surroundings and service it transpired it was worth it. The welcome was warm and the two girls... More

We only had two nights in Oban - and ate here both nights. The host from our accommodation had recommended a number of restaurants in Oban..... we wandered around and checked them all out before deciding on Coast. As suggested, we booked a table to be sure we wouldn't miss out. Even though we were in Oban during a quiet... More

This was the best meal that we had in Oban. contemporary clean surroundings with a nice view out onto the street. One block back from the sea front. The staff were very professional and enthusiastic and the food was excellent. As well as a la carte there was several combinations of 2 or 3 courses which were excellent value.

This was such a great meal, but the real topper was the desert. A light sponge type cake that was soaked in a citrus simple syrup. OMG was it great, not heavy at all but very full flavored. Highly reccomend this place!

Food is gourmet quality and staff is very accommodating. You will need a reservation for the evening meal.

Four of us ate at Coast tonight. We had langoustines, halibut, salmon and a steak and all were outstanding. Highly recommended ! The ingredients were beautiful, the cooking excellent and the service just right. This was a very welcome change from the fried everything that seems to dominate Scottish cooking. The restaurant is elegantly decorated without being tizzy, and the... More

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it has nice decor. I had very tasty scallops and my husband had lovely langoustine then I had sea bass which was tasty and my husband had gurnard which he enjoyed but he didn't like the chips very much.

great food and presentation, great service. Excellent value. Langoustines were superb. Not sure why tripadvisor is telling me to say more, I have written more than 50 characters...

We won a meal at this restaurant, so can't comment on the price, but the food was superb. Simple, attractive presentation, friendly staff who get the service just right - attentive and friendly but never intrusive, and allowing you a break between main and dessert - and food which is, as I say, just superb. Langoustines in garlic, scallops, pink... More
