We arrived in Oban on August 2 after driving all day in the pouring rain. This was the first place we saw after parking in the Tweeddale car park. Good choice! The place doesn't t look like much but the roast beef dinner I had was lovely and my parents and sister really enjoyed their roast pork sandwiches. I'd recommend... More

It looks like transport cafe and has a cheap and cheerful feel to it. Friendly staff. £4.50 for roast, veg and potatoes which consisted of 3 large roasters, 3 slices of carrot and 3 of parsnip, 5 slices of tender cooked beef and gravy. It all tasted great, but a little extra wouldn't have gone amiss.

Visited with friends while passing through Oban last week. Saw the macaroni and cheese advertised on a sandwich board outside and so we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant was empty and the waiter looked genuinely surprised that we walked in (he was reading a newspaper at a table… we thought he was a customer). My friends were... More

Had seen the sign for this in Oban a while ago but it had just closed when I got there. Was back in Oban with my dad the other day and decided to give it a try! Absolutely amazing, had the rolls with beef and onion in gravy to take away, sat on the front and devoured them. The rolls... More

Small but homely the staff very helpful and friendly. The food was super for the price we paid. Shall return the next time I am in Oban. The wheelchair was able to make it to the toilet even if the access is along the lane at the side of the building. clean, friendly and cheap! I'm the woman who is... More

When traveling we like to find the little mom & pop places, they often have the best food and we weren't disappointed. The burger and fries were great and they were playing good old music in the back ground. The value was great for the money and we'd certainly go back in a heartbeat.

Popped in on the passing last week after reading reviews on trip advisor. Was impressed with good choice menu, excellent value . I had the chilli cheese burrito which was huge and I would definitely recommend it, staff are very friendly. I will be back next time I am in Oban

I always find this cafe an excellent choice when it comes to having a meal out. The food is delicious and always homemade and the prices are excellent. It is a hidden gem in Oban and I would recommend it to locals and tourists alike.

At the Juicy Roast, the meal was very good indeed - the lasagna that I ate was delicious, and the apple crumble and custard that I had for desert was the best one I've had in a very long time. I would highly recommend this cosy and hospitable restaurant to anyone staying in Oban, even though, from the outside, it... More
